Chapter 42

FAITH POV: I'm so nervous about this surgery. I really don't want to go through this again and I never thought I would have to. I thought it was over. But now here I am back in the hospital facing yet another surgery. Tim was sitting in a chair by my bed. "Tim.." "Yeah" "I want to see the girls" "ok I will call my mom to bring them" "Ok" I really want to see my girls before my surgery tomorrow, since I'm not sure after that when I will see them again. I just need to spend some time with them. I'm sure they are scared and confused on why I'm not there and Tim also. "ok she's on her way with them" "Ok" "Are you ok?" "yeah it's just..I really need to be with them. I don't know when I will see them again after the surgery" "Faith you will be home with them in no time ok" "But Tim we don't know that, what if something happens?" "No baby please don't think like that ok, you are strong and you will come through this stronger than ever" I smiled. "Can you do me one other favor?" "sure anything" "can you just hold me" he smiled "I can do that" I scooted over in the bed to make room for Tim. I layed my head on his chest as he just held me. This is just what I needed. I feel so safe in Tim's arms. We than heard a knock at the door. Just as Tim was about to get up the door opened "Can we come in?" "yeah sure mom, come on in." Tim sat up more and so did I. He than got up. "Mommy.." Gracie and Maggie both ran over to me. "Hey girls" I gave them both big hugs. "Mommy" "yes baby" "when will you be coming home?" "well we don't know yet, but hopefully tomorrow night ok" "Ok" "now Gracie, Maggie, I need you both to be good for Meemaw and Aunt Tracey ok" "Ok Mommy" I smiled and gave them both a kiss. Than Tim came over with Audrey. He handed her to me. "Hey baby girl" she just smiled. It just melts my heart. I started to get tears. After about a 1/2 hr visit with the girls. It was time for them to go home. "Ok girls, lets go" "I don't want to leave" Maggie cried "Maggie baby you need to listen and go with meemaw and Aunt Tracey, Ok" "but I want to stay with mommy" "I know baby, and I know this is hard on you and your sisters but I need you to be brave ok? Mommy and I will be coming home as soon as we can ok" "girls come here" I said they both came to the side of the bed and climbed up. "I love you girls so much, and I will be home before you know it. but I need you to be big girls ok? can you do that for mommy?" They shook their heads "That's my girls. And maybe since it's Friday, meemaw and Aunt Tracey will let you two have some ice cream" "YAY!" I laughed "Is that ok?" "sure it is" Betty said "ok girls say bye to Mommy and Daddy" "Bye mommy" they gave me another hug and than turned to Tim and gave him a hug. "we love you girls" than they left. I started to cry. Tim came over and just held me. Than I just fell asleep in Tim's arms.
