Chapter 50

FAITH POV: 6 MONTHS LATER: My radiation treatments have been over. I had to do it for about 4 weeks straight. It made me feel more tired than I thought it would. I'm just glad now it's over. I've gone for several checkups over the past several months and everything is showing negative. All bloodwork and ultrasounds, everything that could be tested was and all came back negative. I couldn't be happier. I had an ultrasound done and bloodwork, everything came back good. No more tumors. I was so happy and relieved. We are now in the holiday season. Today is Audrey's 1st birthday! She's been doing great, growing well. She talks, Says Mama and Dada and cookie. Yes she loves cookies. She's growing so fast. And of course there's no signs of any birth defects or any problems that we were warned about with her being born 2 months early. She's doing so great. Tim has been back working. He wrapped up a tour this summer. He was going to cancel it all and stay home with me and the girls, but I insisted he do it. I was fine, the girls are fine. Now he's home and off for the holidays. Once after the holidays and into next year, Tim will go back in the studio to work on his next album. He never did finish the one he was working on while I was sick. He wanted to be here with me and help me with the girls as much as possible. He's gone back in the studio when he's been at home during the week but it's not quite done yet. His label wanted him to finish it before Christmas, but he doesn't want to rush it. So they were ok with him waiting a few more weeks to finish. Tim took Gracie and Maggie out somehwere. He wouldn't tell me. So it's just me and the birthday girl! We are having a small party here at the house. Just family and close friends. Nothing too big. He than walked in the door with the girls "Mommy, Mommy guess what" Maggie said so excited "yeah mommy guess what" Gracie than said "What?" "Look what we got" "What did you get?" "Come on come see" "ok ok I'm coming" I grabbed Audrey on my way. I walked in the living room and was speechless. "That has to be the biggest tree" "its nice isn't it?" Tim said all smiling "yeah but Tim.. don't you think that's a little too big" "Nah the girls picked it out" "Don't you like it mommy" Gracie said "Yes baby I love it" "YAY" They both screamed. Made me laugh. "Ok girls go get the decorations so we can decorate" "OK" They than took off. "WOW I wasn't expecting this" "yeah I let them pick one out. I think from now on we should make it a tradition to get our Christmas tree every year on Audrey's birthday" "I agree" "Hey birthday girl" Tim said and she went right to him. He started to tickle her. She was laughing so hard. "Ok ok. daddy, we have to get this little princess ready for her party" "ok" He than handed her back to me and I took her upstairs to get ready. When I came down, Tim had the place all decorated with the help of his mom and sisters and My parents. "MOM! DAD!" "hey baby" "I didn't know you were going to be here. when did you get here?" "Not that long ago, Tim and the girls picked us up from the airport" "TIM why didn't you tell me?" "We wanted to surprise you. Are you surprised?" "Yes but how did you...?" "what keep this from you?" "Yes not only that but the girls?" "yeah they did good" we laughed the girls are usually the first ones to blab a secret but to my surprise they did very good. I'm very surprised that's for sure.
