TIM POV: FEW WEEKS LATER: It's Christmas. The girls were so excited they ran into our bedroom at the crack of dawn waking up both Faith and I. We tried to get them to go back to sleep but they weren't having it. We laughed and than gave in. We got downstairs and the girls were so excited to open their presents "Do you think we went overboard?" I asked Faith "No it's been a rough year so I think it's fine this year" "yeah I agree" I said and kissed her.  Surprisingly though Audrey slept till a couple of hours later.  Gracie and Maggie wanted to open her presents but we said no. We wanted her to do it herself.  Faith went to the kitchen to get Christmas Dinner ready. Faith thought I gave her her Christmas present a few weeks ago when I surprised her with her parents. They are still in town and will be coming over. They are staying in the guest house. We tried to get them to stay in the main house in the guest room, but they insisted on giving us our privacy. They will be coming over here shortly to help out with making dinner.  My mom and sisters as well as well as my nephews and nieces. I'm so glad we could have our whole families here for Christmas. And I have a very big surprise for my mom. I wanted to get her something special. She's done alot for Faith and I and helping with the girls and all over the past over a year now. So Faith agreed with me when I told her my idea. My mom is going to be so surprised.  A FEW HOURS LATER STILL TIM POV: Everyone is here now. The girls are so excited. 'TIM can you come here for second" "Faith yelled up to me. I ran upstairs. "what, what's wrong" "Nothing, Audrey has a surprise for you" "What is it" she than put Audrey down. And she got up and was walking. "OMG she's walking" "Yes she is"
"how? When?" Faith laughed it's been a couple of days. "how have I not noticed?" "Tim, she really just started doing it the other day, she would get up take a step or two and than just fall down. this is actually the most steps she's been taking. She's a full walker now" "you know what that means" "yeah the gates by the stairs go up" "yes they do"  I picked her up and just started to tickle her. She was laughing. "ok let's go downstairs with everyone else" "Ok" I than put Audrey down and held her hand as we walked down the stairs. Once we got down I let go and she took off. "TIM, she's walking" My mom said "yes she is" "oh no y'all are in trouble now" Ted, Faith's dad said and we all laughed "ok I'm going to get the gate to put up by the stairs" "ok" I grabbed the baby gate and put it up. "Faith.. " "yeah" "what do you say we give this to my mom now?" "yeah I agree. can you pull her aside?" "yeah" "Mom.. can you come here for a minute" "yeah sure, what's up" we pulled her into the guest room downstairs and closed the door. "Whats going on?" "Well we got you something" "You didn't have to do that" "we wanted to Betty, you've done so much for us over the past over a year, you deserve it. Merry Christmas" Faith and I stood together arm in arm and just smiled as my mom opened her gift. Her reaction was priceless. "OMG seriously?" "yes mom, we love you so much, you deserve this" "thank you both so much" "your welcome" "I can't believe this" I laughed "mom you deserve a little vacation, this is the least we can do for you" "thank you, thank you both so much again" She gave us both a hug and a kiss. she had tears. "oh mom don't cry" "they are happy tears, I can't believe I'm going to Italy" "well you deserve it, thank you for all did and do for us"  She was so happy and that made me happy. My mom has always been there for me since I was born and to be able to give something like that to her, meant alot to not only me but to Faith.  We than left the room and joined the rest of the guests.
