Chapter 10

TIM POV: The doctor left the room. I can see Faith was not happy with me. "Look Faith.. " "no Tim, I need you now more than ever and I would appreciate it if you would support me on this" "I do. "well you sure as hell don't act like it. You know this is your baby two" "Don't you think I know that" "Do you?" "Whats that supposed to mean?" "Look I don't want to fight with you. it's not good for me or the baby. But I need you to hear me out on this" "Ok fine" "Listen I love you, I love our girls and I love this baby! but to me it seems like you don't want anything to do with it" "Faith that's not true. I Love you and our girls and this baby" "do you?" "YES I do!" I said raising my voice she was quiet. "Faith, I'm sorry. I don't want to fight with you either. Its just.." I started to cry. "Just what Tim?" "I'm scared ok! I just can't lose you" "your not going to lose me" "Look why don't we just put this on hold, go home we will read all the stuff the doctor is going to give us. Let us both do the research and than decide from there. Can we at least do that?" "yeah that sounds fair" "ok" "Tim, can I ask you one more question?" "yeah sure, what is it?" "why don't you want to know the sex of the baby?" "Its not that I don't, I'm afraid of getting too attached and something happens and.. " "Tim we can't think like that ok, please." "can we just at least wait another week before deciding if we want to know or not?" "Well I already know I do, but ok thats fine I can wait another week" I went over and took her hand. "Faith I love you more than anything. You know that" "I love you two Tim" I went over and gave her a kiss. She smiled. "ok ready to go?" "yeah.. .wait the doctor is coming back" "Oh yeah right" A few minutes later the doctor came back in the room with all the literature and information on everything discussed. All our options on what to do. "Thank you doctor" "ok so does this mean y'all are going to wait on finding out the sex of the baby?" "yes for now" "ok well if you change your mind, let me know at your next appointment" "Ok thank you" We than left to go home. We had about an hour before we have to pick up Maggie from preschool. So I decided to spend some alone time with Faith. We sat on the couch and watched TV. she fell asleep on my shoulder. Before I knew it, it was time to get Maggie. Faith was still asleep. I carefully got up without waking her. How I don't know. I wrote a quick note just in case for her to know where I went and than quietly left to get Maggie.
