Chapter 45

TIM POV:  I sat by Faith's bedside, not wanting to leave her till she wakes up. It's now been several hours since she's been out of surgery and back into the room. The doctors have been in and out along with the nurses to check on her and each time everything is the same. Nothing has changed. Her vitals are good, she's stable but still not awake. There was a knock at the door. I got up just as the door was opening "can we come in?" "Mom,I'm sorry I forgot to call you" "it's ok son, can the girls come in?" "yeah it's fine." "Daddy" "Hey baby girl" I said and gave both girls a hug as they ran into my arms. Than my sister Tracey walked in holding Audrey. "Hey beautiful" I said and took her from my sister. She was smiling. "Daddy" yes baby" "is mommy still sleeping?" "ye.." before I could finish Faith said."T.ii..mm" "I turned around. "Mom can you take Audrey" "sure" I than handed Audrey to my mom and ran to Faith's side "right here baby, right here" "I..i'm th..irsty" "Hold on" I grabbed a cup and poored water into a cup and had a straw "Here you go" I held it up to her so she can drink it. "Thank you" "how do you feel?" "tired" I smiled "I'm so happy your awake, I was so scared" she smiled "you know I won't leave you and our girls" Just than she turned and saw them and smiled "Girls.. come give me a hug" They both ran over to the side of the bed. Gracie climbed up and I helped Maggie up. They gave her a hug. "Mommy your awake now" "yes baby" "girls why don't you go with meemaw to get something to eat ok" "Ok" "and I will bring you back something also" "Thanks mom" "Tracey you coming?" "yeah what about Audrey?" "I'll take her" I said "you sure?" "yeah I think her mommy would like to spend a little time with her" "ok" I got Audrey from my sister and than she went with my mom and the girls to get something to eat. "Audrey" Faith said and had a big smile on her face. I put her next to Faith on the bed as I held on to her as well. Audrey was smiling from ear to hear. "See she's happy to see her mommy" Faith had tears in her eyes. "And I'm so happy to see my baby" She than stopped smiling "Honey whats wrong" "I just realized something" "What, what is it?" "if it wasn't for me getting pregnant with her, we might not of never known about the tumor.. wait the tumor, did they get it all? do I have cancer?" she asked and before I could answer the doctor walked in.
