I'm apologizing in advance for the awkwardest chapter you'll ever read in your life, just saying lol.
"Aunt Sydney, can we go to your work?" Tyler asked
"You know I don't work there anymore, bud."
"I know, but I want to go see."
"Okay, but then we're going to go home, okay?"
He nodded.
It's been a little over a week since I've stopped working at Gillette and my brother has me picking up my nephew from school everyday now. He used to pick him up during his lunch break, but now that I only have school, I pick him up.
I got Tyler out of the car and held his hand as we walked into the stadium. It was cold outside, so I made sure he had his jacket zipped up, though I didn't have one because I thought we were going straight home. By dumb ass was wearing jeans, heels, a nice blue blouse, and a black blazer. I looked hot on the outside, but I was super cold.
I waved to a few of the ladies at the desk that work here and I got stuck talking to one.
"Sydney, you're back! We missed you, you look so good."
"Thanks Mary, I decided to dress pretty nice today for once." I laughed.
"Well girl, if you don't want those heels anymore, feel free to give me them."
"I'll buy you a pair for Christmas, how about that?"
"That'll work."
I laughed before saying goodbye to her and walking onto the field. The guys were practicing and I met up with a few of the coordinators on the sideline as I held Tyler in my arms.
"Hey Sydney." Chandler said from the field causing everyone to turn around.
"What are you doing here?" Bill said
"This little booger wanted to come here." I said moving Tyler's hood on his jacket.
"Well, hello there kid, haven't seen you in a while." He replied.
"I just left school."
"Was it fun?"
"Where's Rob?" Tyler said totally ignoring his question.
"He's practicing." I said to him.
By now the guys are on a water break considering Bill stopped giving directions. I set Tyler down and we both walked onto the field and he hugged Robs leg as he was talking to a few of the guys.
"Oh hey bud." Rob said picking him up since he was so tall.
"How is your knee?" He said pointing to his knee.
"It's doing good, but not as good as yours."
"Aunt Sydney said it hurt a lot."
"It did, but not anymore." Rob laughed.
"I hurt my arm on the playground sometimes."
"Yes you do, but come on, I think they need to get back to practice." I said.
Tyler hugged Rob around his neck before he put him down and kissed me.
"Ew, that's nasty." Tyler said causing them to laugh.
I turned around and waved at them as Tyler ran off the field and I apologized as I passed by Bill. He didn't have a problem with it, so I'm guessing they were having a good practice.
