I grabbed my things and walked down the stairs. I let out a big sigh before opening the door to see a nice looking man on the other end.
"You look amazing Sydney."
"Thank you, you don't look that bad yourself." I smiled.
And I wasn't lying. He looked HOT! He wore a dark gray button down shirt and crisp ironed black dress pants and freshly polished brown shoes. He looks really good, honestly better than he does at work. He kinda looks like a preppy guy who just left a frat house to become an adult...if that even makes sense.
"Sydney." He said.
"Huh?" I questioned.
"I asked you how your day off was." He laughed.
"Oh, uh, it was good! It very refreshing."
"That's good, that's good. Work was the usual, except you weren't there of course." He winked.
I looked at him with a half smile as he continued to drive. Awkward once again.
We then reached the restaurant and it was beautiful. I have never been here before and I honestly regret never seeing it. It had a style that I quite cannot explain, but it was very pleasant being around.
We both sat down and ordered drinks and food and we began to talk about work and the little things. I told him about my dog Mike and how crazy he is and then he told me about his baseball career in college. It was really interesting to hear how passionate he was about it and it was probably one of the few things that I could relate to him about.
"So, I have to ask. Why don't you work for the Patriots? I mean your brother is involved, why aren't you?" He asked as he sipped his drink, whatever it was.
"I don't know, it was never something I thought about doing as a child. I mean I was their trainer for most of this past season, but that's about it."
"No, I totally get it. You're around a certain group of people your entire life and you want to venture out."
"Exactly, I kind of like it so far too." I smiled.
He smiled back and that's when our food came. I literally stared at my plate trying to figure out if I should be a lady or throw down in front of him. I mean, either I be myself or I act someone else... I guess I'll just be someone else right now.
At the end of the dinner, we just talked even more which was nice. Though, the ride back home was quiet with only the faint noise of music playing in the background.
When we got to my house, Brandon went around the car to open my door. Such a gentleman. I got out and we walked together to my door.
"I had fun tonight." He smiled.
"So did I, thank you for everything." I said fiddling with my keys.
"Anytime, it was nice getting to know more about you."
"I mean, what isn't there to know about me?" I said flipping my hair in sarcasm.
He laughed before putting his hand on my face. He rubbed his thumb on my cheek and I couldn't help but look away in regret. Brandon began to inch forward to kiss me, and my body started to get hot. Not because I wanted to kiss him, but because I didn't know what to do. But soon, I came to the realization on what to do, so I pushed him back just a little bit.
"I'm sorry, I can't do this, I have a boyfriend." I said.
"Oh?" He replied as he stepped back.
"I'm so sorry, I should had told you. I feel really bad."
