The last few chapters have been kind of boring, I know. I'm sooo sorry. I've been really stressed with school and keeping up with extracurricular things that I do, so I haven't been so imaginative lately. I promise chapter 35 won't be sucky. But for now, enjoy 34(:
I'm finally living at my own house and it's so weird being here without Mike. My dad took him into his home since I was at Robs, so I've been all alone. But, it's monday, so it's time for work!
I got into my car and drove all the way to work, just preparing myself for Lauren to get excited to see me.
I walked inside and couldn't even make it into the lobby of our floor before getting rampaged by one of my coworkers.
"Sydney!" Lauren said as she hugged me.
"Hey!" I said as I rolled my eyes at her excitement, well not really, but in my head I did.
"I missed you so much. Why didn't you call me on Saturday?" She asked.
"I didn't know I had to?" I questioned.
"I called on Friday and your secret boyfriend answered the phone and told me you were asleep, so I told him to tell you to call me when you woke up."
"Oh, he must have forgotten, sorry. But I'm fine now! I'm actually at work."
"Speaking of work, I think we should go."
We walked together before going into our separate offices. I had a huge stack of papers on my desk waiting for someone to tend to them. I sighed as I flung my purse against the extra chair in the corner of my room and I just sat on my desk. I began to look through the folders and it was a lot. It took an hour and a half to go through one folder, and I have 5 more to go. I had no choice but to get a cup of coffee to keep myself awake for the next few hours. It wasn't until lunch time when I had a break. I was on my way downstairs to leave and get food, but I was soon stopped by Brandon.
"What do you think you're doing?" He asked me.
"I'm going to lunch." I said.
"Oh no you're not. You have work to do." He snapped.
"Well I'm still doing it, I was just going to get food."
"You were gone for three days Sydney. This company can't afford you not to finish your work. You can eat when you get home. And here is some extra things that you should do and maybe you won't be hungry." He said hanging me a stack of papers.
"Brandon, you can't do that to me."
"You want to be a normal worker right? Then I'll treat you like one. It'd be a shame if your little secret slipped out into the office building."
He raised his eyebrow with a small smirk going across his face and I couldn't help but laugh to myself. This job sucks. How do people do this? I'd rather workout with a bunch of sweaty guys in 90 degree heat than to be doing paperwork right now.
It was now 7pm and I am still doing work. I should have gotten off 4 hours ago, but no, I had to do my stupid job.
I didn't leave until 7:30 and I'm dead tired. No one was really here except for Brandon and a few of the other guys, so I didn't even bother saying goodbye to anyone.
I drove home and took a nice hot bath. I used one of my awesome bath bombs that Cara gave me for Christmas, and I was waiting for the right day to use it. It was purple and made the water look like a galaxy which I thought was really cool.
