It's been about two months since Rob and I hooked up after the game in Miami. We talked about it, and we both agreed it shouldn't have happened. I mean dang Sydney! He's engaged! I couldn't even tell Cara about it, not even Noah or anyone else. No one has questioned us so I guess that's good, but, he's getting married this weekend.

Right now we're in Tampa for Rob and Melanies wedding and I do not have an outfit. Out of all of the clothes I have, nothing looks good. Cara and I are currently driving to the mall while Lucas is with Rob's mom. Since she lives here, it's just nice to have her here anyway. Hopefully this will make the wedding less awkward since I can talk to her and avoid Melanie.

After shopping, I finally found the perfect dress for the wedding. It's nice and simple and very flattering might I say.

"Where are we going?" I asked Cara as she drove.

"We should get our nails done, it'll be fun."

"I told Rob's mom I would be at her house before 3."

She laughed. "Come on Sydney, she'll love being with him longer."

I sighed. "Fine, but if she's mad at me I'll be mad at you."

She nodded before smiling as she drove. We got to the nail salon and I sat down with the color I wanted. Soft pink/ nude nails and French toes because that matches everything, right?

"So are you nervous for the wedding?" Cara asked as we got our pedicures.

"A little. I don't think I'm ready to see Rob commit to someone else."

"Does Rob know about this?"

I nodded. "No, I'm too nervous to talk to him about it. But as long as he's happy then everything is okay, you know?"

She sighed. "I mean if that's how you want to see it. I just don't want you to be sad about it."

I laughed. "I won't, trust me. I enjoy seeing Rob happy and if Melanie can make him feel that way, then I'm fine with it."

I continued to watch the man paint my nails. I waited for Cara to reply, but she didn't. It was like she wanted to say something, but knew it would probably hurt my feelings.

I love Rob and everything he does, but him and I together just doesn't work. We tried to make it work for almost a year and it never fit. Melanie truly makes Rob happy from what I see. Him being happy is the greatest thing I could ever ask for. Especially having a son with him, it's good to see them smile together.

After getting our nails done, we went out to eat before driving back to Rob's moms house. Cara parked and let me out of the car before driving off. I rang the door bell and waited for someone to answer.

"Hey! I didn't know you were coming over." I said as I gave Chris a hug.

"Yeah, mom said she had Lucas so we all came over to see him."

I laughed. "Well was he being good?"

"Oh yeah definitely. We've only been here for maybe 10 minutes and he's doing fine." He said as I walked into the living room.

"Sydney sweetie, can you help me?" Diane said.

I excused my self from the guys before going into the kitchen where Robs mom was. She was making something, but I wasn't sure what.
