Chapter 55

"Sydney, are you coming to the game today?" Cara asked.

"Yeah, are you sitting with the girls?"

"Yeah! Are you going to be on the field today or with us?"

"I'm on the field for pre season, but regular season I should be up there."

"Okay! Well, I'll see you later love bug. Good luck!"

"Thanks babes."

We said our goodbyes before hanging up. I then got out of bed to get ready for my day. It's the first pre season game and I am excited! We're playing the New Orlean Saints tonight and I already know it's going to be a long game. It's a Thursday night and the game starts 7:30 which means I will probably fall asleep half way through.

After taking a shower, I changed into athletic shorts and a Patriots tee and made my way out of the house. It's around 10 o'clock and we have to be at Gillette at 11. Just going over things and making sure we're prepared before the game. Make sure everyone has the right equipment etc.

"Sydney, are you hungry?" Rob asked me as I looked through the play book.

"I'm fine, thank you."

"Did you eat breakfast this morning?"

"Rob, please stop bothering me."

"We have our first game today, I need to make sure you ate. I don't want anything happening to you tonight."

"Get out of here, shouldn't you be with everyone else?"

"Why are you being so bitchy right now?" He questioned.

I sighed. "I'm not! I'm trying to focus right now. Please, just leave!" I yelled back.

I sighed before hearing the door behind me close. I set my hands in my head as I frowned. I really need to tell Rob something but there is never a right time to tell him.

I'm really sick of Rob going behind Melanie's back with me. He's always lying to her, tell her he's hanging out with the guys or going to an interview just so that he can be out with me. I was all for it until things got out of hand. The kissing and touching is too much. I love him but I hate him at the same time. He's in a relationship and I really don't want to be that girl that ruins everything.

I walked out of the office and handed Bill the playbook. He was in his office talking to a few guys, so I didn't talk to him much. He thanked me as I walked out and went down to the conference room. I sat in my normal seat by myself and was just on my phone until Bill came out.

He began to talk about the day. How we're going to prepare for tonight mostly. We went over basic rules and such that some may have forgotten. He then made a motivational speech and then we were all let go to hangout and do whatever bonding activities were set up by our sponsors.

"Hey Syd, play catch with me." Jimmy said as he tossed me a ball.

"You didn't give me a chance to reply." I said throwing it back.

"Well you weren't doing anything, so I just assumed."

As Jimmy and I continued to talk and toss the ball around the field, a certain person thought it would be okay to intervene. As Rob jumped into the middle of us, he grabbed the ball and turned to look at me.

"Sydney, talk to me." He said.

"Rob, I really don't want to talk to you right now." I said holding my hand out for the ball.
