Dear Diary,
My Dads were right. As soon as I started the third grade, I made all new friends. Their names are Ava and Kelly. We're in the same class together. We play with each other on the playground all the time. Sure I see Maddie there a lot during recess, but she doesn't seem to care anymore.
We have a lot in common. We both like Monster High and we like playing both video and board games. They had regular parents, but I promised I would keep my mouth shut this time about me having two Dads. I don't want to lose another friend.Em

Ava, Kelly and I went trick or treating together. Daddy S went with us to keep us company. I was Princess Peach while Daddy S was Mario. Ava was DracuLaura and Kelly was Queen Elsa. We had so much fun together!
I smiled and got a small bit emotional as I saw a picture of me, Kelly and Ava from that night taped to the same page of the diary. If I could go back to any day and repeat it, I would probably choose this as one of those days.

Dear Diary,
I got invited to Kelly's party! I got her the perfect gift! My Daddies made a big photo frame of me, her and Ava from Halloween! And I am going to give it to her! I can't wait!

As we pulled up to the party. I noticed from behind the fence a bouncy castle. I smiled and jumped up and down in my seat as I was excited to go inside there. As soon as I got out of the car, I ran through the patio of the house and out into the backyard where the party was. Ava and Kelly were both in the bouncy castle. I immediately took my shoes off and joined them. The three of us were screaming and laughing as we jumped up and down.
"I've been in here for hours!" Kelly shouted. "I haven't stopped bouncing yet!"
"This is so cool!" Ava shouted.
"Watch this!" I shouted.I did that trick where people bounce down on their butt and then jump back up.
"That's awesome! I need to try!" Kelly shouted.
She landed on her butt, but she couldn't jump back up. Ava tried the same thing, but couldn't do it either.
"How do you do that?" Kelly asked.
"I dunno! I just can!" I answered.Just then, Kelly smiled and actually got off the bouncy castle as she saw another one of her friends. As I looked out of the bouncy castle, my jaw dropped as I saw the girls face.
It was Maddie!
"Oh no!" I cried.
"What is it?" Ava cried.
"I know that girl!" I explained. "She doesn't like me!"
"Why?" Ava asked.I didn't answer her question. I just got out of the bouncy castle and sneakily went over to Daddy S, thankfully not being noticed by her.
"What's wrong?" Daddy S asked.
"It's Maddie!" I responded quietly. "She's here!"
"You mean the girl that doesn't like you?" He asked. I nodded.
"I think her and Kelly are friends..." I said.
"Well, she can be friends with her if she likes." Daddy S explained. "Kelly and you can be friends too."
"But if Maddie sees me, she'll try and ruin my friendship!" I said.
"How do you know?" Daddy S asked.
"Because she ruined our own friendship long ago..." I responded.
"Well, maybe things have changed!" Daddy S assured. "Maybe she's forgotten all about what happened in kindergarten and moved on!"I ignored what he said, because I knew it wasn't true. I stayed behind him, watching Kelly and Maddie talk to each other, waiting for them to separate... But they never did. Both of them and Ava went into the bouncy castle together.
"Em, you can't stay like this for the rest of the party." Daddy S explained. "Just because one person that you don't like is here doesn't mean the party is ruined."
"Actually it is..." I mumbled.
"Em, if she were a true friend of Kelly's, she would accept your friendship with her." Daddy S continued. "Kelly's been a good friend of yours, even better than your friendship with Maddie was. So I'm sure things will be different with her."In a way, Daddy S was right. Even if things do somehow go bad, I've still got Ava. At least I hope so...
I hesitated but then headed toward the bouncy castle, where it just so happened that the three of them were getting off. As they were putting their shoes on, Maddie looked up, noticed me and scowled.
"What are you doing here?" Maddie asked.
"I'm friends with Kelly..." I answered.
"I was friends with her first!" Maddie exclaimed.
"I don't care!" I stated. "She can have more than one friend!"
"But she shouldn't be friends with you!" Maddie stated.
"Why not?" Kelly asked.
"Because she has two Dads!" Maddie responded. "And my mommy told me that having two moms or two dads is wrong..."
"It's not wrong!" I assured. "Who cares if I have two Daddies?"Just then, before things got out of hand, Daddy S grabbed my hand and took me out of the party. I wanted to yell or cry for taking me out of the party like that, but I could tell it was as embarrassing for him as it was for me, so I didn't say a word.

Dear Diary,
Can I become queen and banish Maddie into outer space please? I wish she would stop having people believe her. I wish she would stop being so bratty and I wish she could just leave.
