As soon as Uncle Ryan's car pulled up, Lyndsey's mom made sure I made it safely to the car before driving off.

I was silent throughout the entire ride home until Daddy S spoke up.

"What did the girls do to you?" Daddy S asked.
"They explained how they were using me to get to you guys." I responded. "But other than that, nothing..."

Everything then grew silent once more when we pulled up to our neighborhood and to the driveway of my house. Uncle Ryan and Uncle Matt stayed silent as me and Daddy S got out of the car before silently pulling away.

Daddy S looked at me.

"I want you to go to your room as soon as we get inside." Daddy S demanded.

I nodded, actually scared of my Dad's harsh voice.

Both him and I made our way through the pavement of our front yard before entering the house. Where I immediately ran upstairs to my room.

Dear Diary,

The sleepover I went to went terribly wrong. I've been used, and now I'm going to be yelled at by Daddy S, something I never thought would happen to me in my entire life. I'm really scared...

As soon as I finished my entry, I suddenly heard yelling coming from downstairs. I slowly and quietly opened the door and made my way down the hall to a pair of railings which showed the living room area, where Daddy S and Daddy M were arguing.

"Why the hell did you let her go to that party, Mark?" Daddy S asked.
"I wanted her to have fun and make friends!" Daddy M responded. "I mean you saw her the first week of school, she was a mess! I hate seeing her like that!"
"Guess what? I hate it too, Mark!" Daddy S assured. "But you know what else? You can't expect our daughter to make perfect friends right away! And even if she did make friends, you still can't just assume they're actually friends with her! Which is why I didn't want her going to that sleepover because I didn't trust them yet! And now look where that's gotten us!"
"Well guess what? Our daughter's in middle school now!" Daddy M argued. "There will be people in the seventh and eighth grade who watch YouTube who will watch us and know her! Sooner or later that's going to be her own friends and her own classmates too!"
"Well at least they won't be using her and treating her like shit like those girls did at the sleepover!" Daddy S responded.
"Well if you can't trust anybody at her school, why don't you just let her drop out and we can home school her? Or put her in a private school!" Daddy M responded.
"A private school won't be any better!" Daddy S exclaimed. "And you know we can't afford to home school her!"
"So you're just going to have her suffer and possibly be friendless?" Daddy M asked.
"That's harsh realities Mark, and Emily has been through them already and she's only ten!" Daddy S exclaimed. "And she'll be going through them even more as she grows up but it's life! But I can guarantee you, by the end of the year, she'll have new friends! Friends that will actually trust her and not treat her like those girls did."

Daddy S then paced the room.

"I can't believe I fell for that..." Daddy S said. "I knew she told me the sleepover was Friday night and I should have remembered."
"It's not your fault, Sean..." Daddy M remarked. "It's mine... If I wasn't such an idiot and such a free loving father then none of this would have happened."

Suddenly, they noticed Chica staring up at me through the railings, which made both Daddy M and Daddy S look up. I immediately sprinted out of the way, hopefully before they could see me, and I ran back into my room, ran into bed and closed my eyes as if I were asleep.

A few moments later, the door opened.

"I know you're not asleep..." Daddy S said.

I immediately became scared.

"D-Don't yell at me..." I choked.
"I'm not going to yell at you Em. I promise." Daddy S assured me.

I looked over, noticing both Daddy S and Daddy M walking through the doorway. Daddy S sat on my bedside and turned on the lamp. Daddy M sat on the other side.

"Listen baby girl, what happened tonight and what I planned earlier today, was all my fault." Daddy M explained. "I should have never influenced you or encouraged you or made you go to this sleepover."
"It's my fault too..." I mumbled. "If I had just accepted what Daddy S had said yesterday, I wouldn't have gone and none of this would have happened."

Daddy S then sighed.

"Em, even if I did eventually trust these girls, and even if you did know them for a while, I feel like it would have ended the same exact way." Daddy S stated.
"Although we'd be in a lot less trouble." Daddy M said.
"I'm just glad to see that you're okay." Daddy S said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.

I only smirked a smile before letting out a loud sigh.

"So what should my punishment be?" I asked.
"Punishment?" Daddy S asked. "You really want a punishment?"
"I feel like I deserve it..." I said.

Daddy S and Daddy M looked at each other.

"Well, I think you witnessing our little argument downstairs was a good enough punishment for you." Daddy S responded. "Because I know you don't like to see us argue."
"No I don't." I said.
"And I think it serves as a lesson in some ways." Daddy M said. "One, don't ever invade our personal situations and two, what you heard from our argument could possibly be kept in your brain for a while."
"I did learn those lessons." I nodded.
"Good girl." Daddy S said kissing me on the side of the head. "And I'm sorry for scaring you..."
"It's okay." I said.

Just then, both Dads were about to leave me alone in my room to sleep before I sat up again.

"Wait." I said, causing both of them to turn around. "What will I do now during recess and lunch?"

Daddy S and Daddy M looked at each other once more.

"We'll think of something before Monday, don't worry baby girl." Daddy M assured.
I nodded. "Good night."
"Good night." Daddy S smiled, "we love you."
"I love you both too..." I said.

They then closed the door, leaving me in darkness to close my eyes and finally sleep.
