Thirty-Eight: Summer 2021- Summer 2022

5/28/21

Dear Diary,

Today was the last day of school. I was invited to an award ceremony and got an award known as the "Starting Smart"  for receiving all As in my class for the fifth grade. My Dads and I went out and celebrated by getting ice cream at Dairy Queen. Uncle Matt and Uncle Ryan came as well. My favorite ice cream is an Oreo blizzard. They let me order an extra large one for myself since it was a special night for me. I didn't eat it all though, but I'm saving the rest for tomorrow! Hopefully nobody eats it!
I'm also excited because it's finally summer! Ava, Kelly and I have already made plans to hang out. I'm also hanging out with May as well. Dana also has asked me to hang out sometime with him over the summer, although he wasn't sure if he would be able to because of his family. I sure hope his summer goes well if we don't end up hanging out.

Dear Diary,

Today me, Ava and Kelly went to the mall area together. Ava's mom came with us. She let us shop on our own inside the shops, but she always waited outside the shops for us. My favorite store ended up to be Hot Topic because of all the stuff that was in there. Ava's mom considered it an "Emo Store" but we didn't care. I ended up buying stuffed FNAF plushies for my Dads. They already have it them on top of a desk in the recording room.

Dear Diary,

This Fourth of July was crazy. Everybody came over our house and celebrated again just like last year. Only this time, my Uncles and Daddy M bought fireworks and kept shooting them off near the house. One of them almost looked like it was going to hit our house! Luckily, it didn't but it annoyed the neighbors, so we eventually stopped and watched real fireworks that were going off nearby.

Dear Diary,

While my Dads went off to go back to school shopping for me (yay...), they dropped me off at May's house, where we ordered pizza and talked about the entire year since we last saw each other. We then did what we planned on doing this entire time and started making up our own dance routine. We were halfway through the dance routine where my Dads were waiting to pick me up. After much begging from both me and May, my Dads let me stay longer as well as her mother. When they came back, our routine was finished and we actually showed them. May's mom said that it was good enough to be in next year's talent show that they hold at the middle school. May and I looked at each other and thought that would be awesome if we did that together. So even though it wasn't until next May, we were going to do the Talent Show!
