Dear Diary,
Happy first day of summer! To celebrate, my Dads and I all put our bathing suits on and jumped into the pool together! Uncle Ryan took a picture of us mid-air before hitting the pool. Unfortunately, we all soaked the camera as soon as we hit the water and made it malfunction. We weren't able to save the camera, but we were able to save the pictures inside of it!

Present DayI took out the picture of my Dads and I jumping into the pool. I couldn't help but laugh. Even though we couldn't get Uncle Ryan's reaction, he was still pissed.

Dear Diary,
Happy Fourth of July! We had a major BBQ in our backyard with all the neighbors! Looks like my Dads' rule of "Nobody outside family inside of our house rule" no longer applies! I stayed in the pool the entire time and kept doing front flips and back flips in the pool. Uncle Wade tried to do them but he couldn't even bend backwards or forwards to do a flip. Daddy S actually did a flip into the pool! I never knew he could do that and I guess neither could Daddy M because his jaw dropped to the ground afterwards!
Ava and Kelly came for a short amount of time too before they went to other parties. They only put their feet in the water but I still splashed them! Luckily they were wearing their bathing suit cover ups, but I don't think their parents liked that I got them wet. Oh well!
Everybody stayed later on that night to watch the fireworks! It was the perfect view from our backyard! The finale from the fireworks was amazing! It made the night sky look like daytime for a split second because of how many fireworks were going off!
Today was a great day and I hope the rest of the summer will be too!Em

Dear Diary,
Where did this summer go?? In a couple weeks I'll be back to school! My Dads actually went out and got me all kinds of notebooks and folders today. It actually scared me to see what they would get because I didn't want any folders or notebooks with boy bands on them. I don't like any boy bands! Luckily, they came back with just regular folders and binders with some floral and heart decorations on them.
I also got invited to my friend May's house to sleepover again! I haven't seen her since the recital and I'm excited to see what she's been up to!Em

As May and I were talking and eating pizza in the living room area of her home, her mom went and answered the phone. Her voice and her facial expressions changed with the call. May and I both looked at each other."Probably gossip from one of her friends..." May assured me. I nodded in agreement.
Just then, her mother approached us and knelt down next to us. I became scared.
"Girls, I don't know how to say this... But the person who owned the dance studio passed away yesterday..." Her mom explained.
"What does that mean?" May asked.,
"Well, they're saying that the manager's sister will be taking over the studio..." May's mom explained. "And she's not the nicest of people, apparently."Me and May looked at each other, we were scared for a split second but then tried to boost our confidence.
"Maybe since she's now manager, she'll change!" May assured. "Because being a manager is a big job!"
"Yeah!" I nodded. "This could be a good thing!"May nodded and we continued eating our food.

Dear Diary,
Today is our first day of dance class! I'm kinda scared because of this new manager that apparently everybody hates but I hope whatever she's doing doesn't affect anybody I know, or myself. Wish me luck!

I went into the dance studio that day and came across Mrs. Diana, who didn't seem to happy to see me. She wasn't mad, but more worried."Mrs. Diana, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Emily..." Mrs. Diana said. "I really hate to be the one to tell you this, but Mrs. Gina, the new manager, told me that you are no longer welcome in the Petite Group."
"What?" I asked. "Why?"
"She found it ridiculous that an underaged girl would be in the petite company, even though you have the talent to be in it." Mrs. Diana said. "But I don't think that's her only reason?"
"So what do I do?" I asked.
"You have to go back to your other classes." Mrs. Diana said. "I'm sorry, Emily."I looked down, letting a few tears out of my eyes. I couldn't believe this was happening. The Petite Group was everything to me! I got to meet so many cool people which I know now I won't be able to see anymore because I'm not old enough. I know I still had another year or two before I could be able to go into it, but that's almost like forever.
I had the front desk call my Dads to pick me up since I didn't have any other way of calling them.
As my Dads picked me up, I said absolutely nothing to them. All I really could do now is sign up for Mrs. Mary's class and hopefully have May in my class again.
