Daddy M pulled the car up to our house. I took my trophy and certificate that I had been awarded and began walking to the house when suddenly, Daddy S stopped me to take a picture.
Then, as we went into the house, I heard a big round of applause echo through the house as Uncle Bob, Uncle Wade, Uncle Ryan, Uncle Matt, and a bunch of other people were at my house! All celebrating my accomplishment of moving up to the fifth grade.
I looked up at Daddy M and Daddy S.
"Surprise, Em!" Daddy M said.
I couldn't help but smile. Earlier I was kinda bummed that we might not be doing anything, but now I know why they told me that.
I went over to each person and hugged them tightly, thanking them for coming over. I then smiled as I saw Daddy M and Daddy S' friends Felix and his girlfriend Marzia, who I have never met before.
"Hey kiddo, how are you?" Felix asked.
"I-I'm good..." I said shyly.
"Aw, she's grown up so much!" Marzia smiled.
"She definitely didn't get that trophy from you guys!" Felix said to Daddy S and Daddy M.
"I kinda did..." I said. "They gave me good advice and I followed it."
"Okay, so maybe you did." Felix said. After greeting everybody, I immediately went and got food. There was pizza, spaghetti, Mac and cheese and a bunch of other foods I like spread out across the table on trays. I knew I had to have each of them. I got a portion of each and ate it all in one sitting. I was surprised I wasn't feeling sick.
Then, after eating some food, we played some games. We played simple games like charades, and we even played the Whisper Challenge, which was also recorded for a video. I was the person who would whisper something and watch everybody else epically fail at what I was saying. Of course some of the words they said were inappropriate, but I didn't think much of it, it actually made me laugh hysterically. We also played some video games such as Mario Kart on the Wii and Mario Maker on the Wii U. I laughed at Daddy S raging at each of the games, especially all of the levels I had made myself.
After a while, we had some dessert and everybody began to leave. Pretty soon, it was just me, Daddy S and Daddy M, all sitting on the sofa and chilling out. I laid down and rested my head on Daddy M's lap, almost falling asleep.
"Did you have a good time?" Daddy M asked.
"Yes, it was awesome!" I smiled back.
"I'm just glad everybody could come!" Daddy S said.
"Yeah, I really felt like we needed everybody over for a good time." Daddy M nodded. "And I felt like this was a good time to do it!"
"I can't wait until high school graduation!" Daddy S said.
"Whoa! Let's not go there just yet!" Daddy M exclaimed.
"I'm not! I'm just saying!" Daddy S said.Daddy M and Daddy S then looked around at the mess left behind from the party.
"Crap, we gotta start cleaning up..." Daddy S claimed.
"I'll help you!" I shot up and said.
"No, we've got this Em!" Daddy M said. "This was your party, so you shouldn't have to clean anything up!"
"It's the house I happen to also live in so I think I should help." I explained.Daddy M and Daddy S looked at each other as I gave them a stern look. It's the look I give them when they won't let me do something I want to do, which I rarely ever do.
"Alright! You can help." Daddy S said. "Maybe you can clean up all the plates, napkins and cups you find?"
"Okay!" I smiled.I began going through the living room, kitchen, dining room and the den area, picking up all the cups, plates and napkins that I could find. There were surprisingly not that many of them. As I threw the last of them out, I sat down on the sofa in the living room, taking a break from helping clean up the house.
I then decided to go upstairs and write in my diary about my ceremony and my party.

Dear Diary,
Today I am officially a middle schooler and start the fifth grade! I had the ceremony today and was awarded a trophy for best overall student by the soon-to-be principal Mrs. Yearns. I'd rather not explain what happened to the old principal, but I'll say that he wasn't doing his job. Apparently both of my Dads knew Mrs. Yearns and Mrs. Yearns definitely recognized them! She was so happy to see them and how far they have gone. Apparently if it wasn't for her, Daddy S and Daddy M never would have met and none of this would have happened.
Anyways, after the ceremony I went home and was surprised by a bunch of people at my house just to celebrate my last day of school. It was insane and it was so much fun! We ate food, played games, even one of the games was recorded for a video! I can't wait for people to see it!
After the party was over, I helped my Dads clean up some of the mess. Sure cleaning isn't the best thing in the world, but I felt like I had to do something.
But overall, today was probably the best day of my life. I know there will be more best days to come.Em

PRESENT DAYI smiled as I took out the three photos I had saved from this diary entry. One was a photo of me with my Dads after the ceremony, one was a photo of me with Mrs. Yearns, and the third one was me outside of my house with my trophy and my certificate.
I still remember every moment from that day. It was one of the best days of my life.
