Trinity's POV
(No time)"Come on guys! I don't want to go down there!" I begged as Maxwell pushed me forward as we traveled through the vents. "Let's just go back." I pleaded.
I heard Aaron in front of me let out a long and agitated sigh. "Well what would you rather do? Beg your dad for points after you spent spent all yours or go down and scavenge and not have to bother?"
I looked down at my hands as we crawled along the narrow and dark halls. I knew he was right but I didn't want to admit it. I didn't like crawling through the vents of the Ark and find junk to sell.
Then again, I don't remember the last time I was asked to scan my thumb to pay for something. So why bother with something that I have never even been forced to pay for?
Then again, this one time I 'll probably be caught with no points and have to pay.
Worst belated birthday present ever. Fifteen days late and one that could get us arrested.
Great.
And what did he expect me to do with my points? I bought a few books off the black market and than accessories for my dress that I had to start making soon for a masquerade ball we had to go to.
Aaron reached out and pushed against the vent, slamming his palm into it. It popped off and he held on tightly before he reached down over the edge and placed it somewhere. He did the same with his backpack.
He than spun himself around and slid out so his feet hit the metal floor with a slight bang. He turned around and extended his hands out to me and I spun so my legs were in front of me.
He placed his hands on my hips and slid me out, gently setting me on the ground.
Maxwell followed behind me, except when he slid out he hit the edge of a discarded box and lost balance and slammed down onto his knees.
The floor vibrated and shook the ground around our feet. "Will you stop being such a ditz!" Aaron hissed as he narrowed his eyes at him.
Maxwells faces turned slightly pink as he looked down. "I'll be more careful." He whispered
"You will because you'll be sticking near me." Aaron said as he helped him to his feet.
"I'll go look over there." I said.
"Hold on." Aaron said. He picked up his bag and set it down on the closest shelf and unzipped it. Quickly he removed a flashlight and tossed it so he held the head and extended the handle towards me. "Take this, I don't want to make anymore noise."
I nodded and took the gripped black handle from him. I pushed the gel like button and the light flashed on. I nodded at him as I turned and headed towards the back portion of the room.
Remember that the vent is over in the center of the room.
The vent is in the center.
The vent is in the center.
Immediately after reaching the back of the room I turned right and went to scavenge the shelves when I heard a slight pop.
