Chapter 19

Trinity's POV
(Seven Months Ten Days)

I slid on my dress and tried my best to pull up the zipper. I reached over my shoulder, around my waist, under my arm but I just couldn't reach no matter how hard I tried.

This stupid jewel strapped royal blue dress was so annoying! It was so long I felt as if I was going to trip, I wasn't, but I felt like I was going to.

A sweetheart neckline dropped to open into a small teardrop cutout in the chest, leaving me feeling exposed. It was pulled tight since I had no straps to hold the dress up.

The back was open and had two straps, one along the center of my lower back where it closed off and the other where my shoulder blades were.

I felt snobbish and out of place.

I sighed as I closed my eyes and slowly sat down on the bed. I leaned forward and rested my face in the palms of my hands, the dress sliding down slightly, leaving me only in my nude bra.

I didn't want to go. I wanted to stay home and be alone. I didn't want to pretend happy and go lucky, to be spontaneous and just like every other carbon copy up here.

I heard a knock at the front door and I sighed as I slowly stood up. I pulled the dress up and held it from the back as I walked to the door. I still had so much getting ready to do and I didn't want to do any of it.

It was probably Maxwell or Aaron checking up on me. At least they would be able to zipper the dress for me.

I opened the door only to see Mrs.Tanner, Aaron's mom, standing in front of me. I smiled as I saw her.

I hadn't seen her for a couple months. I hadn't gone over to Aaron's much and I hadn't really been social since I had met Haiden.

"Hi Mrs.Tanner. What are you doing here?" I asked. I felt the bag against my side and knew I was in trouble.

She smiled as she stepped forward and pulled me into a hug. "I knew that you probably missed your mom and needed some help getting ready so I thought I'd pop by before we got dressed to go." I nodded into her shoulder, still holding the dress.

I missed her but I actually wasn't thinking of that. I was more stuck on Haidens wrath against me a little over a week ago.

He blamed me didn't he?

"Yes I was, thank you." I whispered.

She pulled back and closed the door behind her. "Alright let me help you get ready." I nodded. "Now I'm guessing from the last few times, you can't zip your dress."

I laughed and nodded. "It's so hard!"

The faking was beginning already.

"Alright let me get it." I spun around and quickly she zipped my zipper the rest of the way. "Now let's go and do your hair and make up." She said as she quickly walked down the hallway to my room.

I let out a sigh as I dragged my feet, following behind her. She sat me down on the edge of my bed as she sat down behind me, grabbing bobby pins and a small comb from her bag.
