Trinity's POV
(One Day After)

I walked down the hallway to the supply closet near the the entrance to the Phoenician sector. The pin weighted heavily in my pocket as I looked around a few times anxiously.

A one strap army green shoulder bag was placed over my left shoulder and I continued to readjust it as I walked down the corridor.

I went to the supply closet that we entered the day before and placed my finger on the scanner. The pad went grey and the door didn't open. I tried again but this time the pad didn't even flicker back on with my presence.

I looked around as I fittled with the strap of my bag. No one was paying attention to me, they probably just thought I was standing outside of some random door as I waited for someone.

I bit my lip as I looked both ways down the hall.

Where could another vent be that wouldn't be exposed?

As I stood there pondering what to do something pulled on my jeans. I looked down and saw a little boy with shaggy straight blonde hair. His eyes were curious and hazel as he looked up at me.

I smiled as I slid my bag down next to my feet as I kneeled down so I was at eye level with him. "Is something wrong?" I asked.

He shook his head.

"Than can I help you with anything?" I asked as I pushed some of my hair behind my ear. I looked at the clock on the far wall. 4 o clock was drawing nearer.

"I - I was wondering I-if you saw my m-mommy." Guilt flooded over like waves.

"Where did you last see her?" I asked.

He immediately turned and pointed to over under the clock that was mounted in the wall. "There." He said surely.

Quickly I looked around the room, a few children were playing and mothers sat to the side talking wth one another as they watched.

I don't know which one she could be.

"Connor, come over here sweetheart. She looks very busy, we don't want to bother her." I smiled at her as Connor's whole face lit up.

He looked at me with his big toothy grin before he ran over to his mother. "Don't worry he's a good kid." I said smiling back at her as I picked up my bag and set my strap back onto my shoulder.

She smiled and waved in thanks before turning back to talking to the other mothers and keeping an eye on her son.

Than it hit me. There had to be more janitorial rooms and with different sections of ventilation systems throughout the ark.

The only one I knew how to get to was the one in Walden.

God, Aaron and Maxwell would kill me if they knew what I was doing this right now.

I quickly turned and walked out of the Phoenician entrance and made my way to walden.

I hid under my bed when the boys came to look for me. I heard their feet on the floor, their boots squeaking as they walked to my dresser.
