Haidens POV
(Nine Months Thirty Days)Almost two weeks without Trinity. It had been a little over two months since the accident and my wound had healed a lot. The scar was there and I couldn't go into situations like that again for at least another week or two but I could do my rounds so my life wasn't completely empty.
I had gone back to training three weeks ago, just light stuff to get my stamina back, like Trinity had recommended for me.
She would be a great doctor one day.
I sighed as I looked down at the ground, kicking the toe of my boot out and letting it scuff against the silver floor.
I missed her, and I missed her a lot. I wish I could've said one final goodbye.
"Hey Haiden. Can you stop looking so glum? It's killing the mood." I looked over to see Bellamy with a big smile on his face. "Come on, I get you're upset but things will work out."
That's exactly what no one seemed to understand. Things wouldn't work out. I couldn't see her anymore or things would go bad, it could end in both her and I getting floated and I wouldn't have her die for me, not even in the slightest.
The image of her, her skin crumbling and being frozen solid in the cold air, drifting endlessly made my heart ache in my chest.
"Just talk to her."
"I can't Bellamy." I looked up and walked a little faster.
"Come on! Just go to her!" He begged as he picked up his pace, quickly being able to catch up to me.
"No."
"Come on, I see how you look at one another."
"I said no." I growled as I stopped, turning to look at him.
Even though I was yelling at him a smile spread across his face. "Look where we are." I turned to see we were outside the medical wing.
I saw Clarke sitting at the front desk, watching us with her logical eyes and confused yet kind look on her face. A smile spread across her face. "Hey Haiden! What are you doing here?"
Bellamy nudged me and slowly I stepped inside and up to the desk. "I'm not sure. I kinda just found myself here." I heard Bellamy grumbling behind me as Clarke shook her head.
"I'm guessing you're here for Trinity."
I shook my head, then suddenly I nodded. I felt my face grow hot as I didn't know what to say.
Clarke laughed. "Don't worry, my moms not here right now. You don't have to worry about her, and Trinity just went out for a bit but she'll be back. I can take a message."
Come on say something
Leave her something
See her one more timeNo it'll hurt her
She could die
I could lose her
The ark would lose a good doctorBut you could hold onto that final moment with her
You could say goodbye the right way
You could move onThat's right, my last checkup had been Mrs.Griffen. I didn't even get to say see her when I left, she just threw me out as fast as she could.
I looked up at Clarke. "Tell her 'first place, the pin and the same time as always' she should hopefully understand." Clarke blinked, looking confused. However she still nodded at me firmly.
"I'll tell her the second she gets back!"
"Thank you." I whispered. And with that I prepared myself to walk out of her life for the very last time.
