Trinity's POV
(Seven Months)I placed back and forth in the waiting room. I ran my hand through my hair as I waited for him to come out.
I can't believe that she actually kicked me out! He needed someone there with him! Now he's all by himself. And his mother was a nice person, she didn't to die.
I felt tears well up in my eyes again.
Oh come on I just calmed myself down.
I sat back down in one the uncomfortable plastic chairs. Tears rolled down my face and my breathing became irregular as I tried to hold back sobs.
Come on girl, deep breathes, three seconds in, hold for three, three seconds out.
I did this for a few minutes before I had calmed myself down enough to look up. I wiped my eyes and looked towards the entranceway to the patient area.
Flash, I mean Haiden, stood there. Tears were running down his cheeks and his eyes were red and puffy.
I immediately stood up and walked over to him. I knew what that look on his face meant. It looked like mine when I lost my mother.
"Haiden, I'm so very sorry I-" I started as I went to reach towards him but I was cut off sharply.
"Don't start with me." He snapped.
I froze and quickly pulled my arms back up against me. "Haiden." I whispered.
"Stay away from me." He growled. "You gave her permission to die, that wasn't yours to give. You gave up on her!"
My eyes became teary. "Haiden." I whispered again. Tears began to flow down my cheeks as I looked at him.
I saw too much anger, to much hate towards me. I was forced to look down. "Stay away from me. I never want to see you again." His voice was low and dark. He flashed me one look of immense hatred before he left.
"Trinity!" Clarke yelled. I heard her coming towards me and I collapsed onto my knees. "Oh Trin." I heard her whisper. She wrapped her arms around me.
I didn't want to be coddled. I hurt him. I couldn't stand to be near her right now. She heard what happened and she was going to be a good person and say it wasn't my fault.
I pushed her off and stood up. I ran. Clarke called after me but I ignored her. Her voice soon faded off into the distance. She didn't follow, but I knew she would try to find me when her shift was over.
I ran towards home as fast as I could, but before I could get there a guard called out to me. I tried to get away but he held onto me tighter. "Where do you think you're going little lady?" The man asked.
He was older, his hair gray with white, his eyes a dark brown almost black. He looked soulless. He looked evil.
"Home." I replied sternly. I struggled against him but he only laughed. "Come on, you get to come with me and sit with the chancellor until your folks come to get you."
I wanted to tell him that he was wrong and one a folk would get me but I decided to keep my mouth shut, I was in enough trouble already.
He took my arm and forcefully shoved me forward. I stumbled and almost fell but caught my balance and continued to walk forward with my head down, hiding my tear stained face.
"Trin?" I looked up to see Aaron looking at me shocked, he looked like he was seeing me dead yet somehow walking.
"Aaron." My voice croaked as I whispered to him.
Immediately he turned to look at the guard behind me. His gaze steely and filled with anger. I inwardly cringed. His gaze looked like Haidens a few minutes prior.
"Let her go, I'll take her home." He said sternly.
"And what is your relation?" He asked, now acting all proper.
Faking piece of shit.
"Neighbor, close family friend." Aaron replied, becoming even more impatient.
"I don't know if my superior will allow this. So I will have to say no." He went to take hold of my arm but Aaron reached out and pulled me towards him.
"We're also friends with the Griffens and I don't think they will be too happy when they hear about this." I saw the guard freeze.
He nodded, awkwardly saluted, said "yes sir." And jogged off.
I immediately turned to Aaron and pulled him into a hug. He was hesitant at first but he hugged me back. "Let's get you home." He whispered. He let go of me and patted my head before wrapping his arm around my shoulders and leading me home.
He led me into my home and down the hall into my room, the place where I grew up, where I heard of the loss of my Mother in space, where my father snapped and only hung out with Maxwell and Aaron's parents.
It was like he didn't even care I was around anymore.
And neither did Haiden.
My eyes became teary again and I wiped my eyes. "Thank you Aaron." I said as I smiled up at him.
"Oh I'm not done yet." He replied, a big smirk on his face. "I'll be night back." He kissed me on my forehead before letting me go and running off.
I sat down on the bed and let myself fall back. I stared up at the ceiling until I heard footsteps running through my home. Slowly I pushed myself up from my lying position and stood up as I slowly made my way to the doorway.
I looked up and saw the boys racing one another into the room. Maxwell ran up to me and scooped me up into a hug. I laughed at them as I hugged Maxwell back.
Aaron than hugged the both of us. "Trin, I don't care what you are doing and aren't telling us, I could care less anymore." We pulled back from our group hug and I looked at Aaron, my eyes filling with tears again.
He continued on. "I just want my best friend and little sister back again. I missed you, it wasn't the same being stuck with this idiot by myself all the time."
Maxwell laughed. "Hell yeah it wasn't!" He cheered.
I smiled but tears rolled down my cheeks.
"And I don't care what got you into trouble today and what you happened before that that caused it, as long as you stay safe I don't care what happens." Aaron finished.
As I started to sob I grabbed hold of Aaron and hugged him as I began to sob into his chest. He set us down on my bed and Maxwell joined us.
They sat their holding me as I cried.
I missed this so much.
I was so happy and yet so sad all at the same time that I couldn't quite distinguish between the two. There was no talking, no gestures exchanged, we just sat their holding one another and enjoying one another's company.
