Taylor's POV
(Three Months Fifteen Days)

Today there was no school, and Flash and I weren't meeting today.

Thank god.

He was a good guy and all but a girl need a break to occasionally meet up with her friends, even if they were two idiots. I smiled as I went to Maxwell door and knocked. The door glided open and a smiling face jumped forward and wrapped me in a tight embrace.

I laughed. "Maxwell! Come on let me go so I can go inside!" he shook his head and help me tighter.

"No thanks. I'd rather never let go. Just make you stand in the doorway." he stopped and than whispered. "Forever."

I laughed and wiggled my arms. He laughed and held tighter for a moment before finally letting go and letting me go inside. "Hi Mr. and Mrs. Green. How are you?" I asked.

Mrs. Green smiled from her place at their table, glass of water in hand as she did a crossword. "We're well, thank you sweetheart." I smiled back at her.

Mr. Green smiled from his place at the sink where he stood doing this dishes. "We're going to your and your fathers place tonight. Us cool parents get to gossip and play board games." he said jokingly. Mrs. Green laughed as she leaned over and swatted the back of his leg.

"Stop trying to act hip and be an adult." She joked as she took a sip of water. He just shook his head and finished up the last few dishes.

"Aaron should be here soon. He does live only a couple places down." I nodded. Go figure, we all lived in the same hallway and a couple doors down from one another. "Go ahead into my room, I'll be there in a second." I nodded once again.

"Bye Mr. and Mrs. Green! Have fun being cool!" I joked as I made my way down the hallway.

"See! Someone understands!" Mr. Green exclaimed and I heard Mrs. Green laughing at him. He was probably doing something weird to make her laugh that hard, she laughed but never like that.

I smiled. I hope one day that I may have something like that, whole and pure.

I opened the door to Maxwell's room and threw myself down onto the bed. I rolled onto my back and looked up a the ceiling. I heard Maxwell and his parents say goodbye to one another and than Maxwell yell down the hallway for Aaron to hurry up.

My heart raced and beat hard against my rib cage.

We hadn't talked in fully since he yelled at me over a month ago. He seemed like he had nothing at all to say to me and I had nothing I could say to him. Some secrets had to stay buried no matter the cost, if I told him it would jeopardize all of us.

I heard the door close but no footsteps come towards the room. I closed my eyes and listened. There were no noises in the apartment, they must've stepped outside to talk. That didn't do much to help with my nerves.

I heard the door slide open and two footsteps coming towards us. They were silent which once again added to my anxiety.

The door to the room opened. "Hi guys, fancy seeing you here." I smiled as I turned my head to the side and opened my eyes.

Maxwell smiled at me and ran over and went to jump on the bed. I went to move but I wasn't fast enough. He landed on top of me and all the air left my lungs. His weight crushed down on me and made it hard to breathe.

It was hard enough to breathe when he first landed on me but it was even harder to get my bearing back with him staying on top of me.

"Maxwell." I gasped.

His eyes widened as he scrambled to get off of me. On his way to get up his hand dug into the skin with my stomach. I immediately lost any air that I had left. I hissed the breath out and than rolled over on my side. I closed my eyes and slowly got my bearings back.

I heard a slap and when I opened my eyes I saw Maxwell rubbing his head and Aaron with a smug smile on his face.

A small giggle left my lips as I looked at the two of them. I sat up and moved over. Maxwell smile and looked at me questioningly. I nodded and his smile grew wider as he ran over and jumped on the bed.

"Come on Aaron." I said as I waved him over.

A small smile came upon his lips and he walked over and sat down.

I jumped onto his back. His smile grew slightly bigger and than he brought his arms up and set them on my hands as they were wrapped around his neck. "What do you think you're doing missy?" He asked.

I giggled as I grabbed tighter. "Oh I don't know. Holding onto someone's neck expecting a piggy back ride?"

He jumped up from the bed and ran me around. I laughed as I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms tighter around his shoulders and neck.

I missed this. I missed our friendship, I missed my brother.

I leaned my head down onto his shoulder. And when the piggy back ride came to an end, it took everything in me to let go.
