Chapter 28

Haiden's POV
(Seven Months Twenty Five Days)

I bent down at my waist, slowly and steadily as I went to reach my toes. These exercises were such a waste of time and energy.

I sighed as I straightened out slowly.

My wound was burning slightly from the slight tugging and pulling but I had to get used to the movement again. I have to be able to go out and go on rounds.

I kneeled down on the ground and stretched out to push myself up into a plank position. The pull on my side increased slightly but I closed my eyes and let myself take deep breathes to go through the pain.

I couldn't let this heal forever. Even Trinity told me I had to at least get used to moving around again.

I heard the curtain get forcefully get thrown up and I heard the sound of loud boots. I opened my eyes.

I pulled my knees forward and onto the ground. I looked up and smiled when I saw Bellamy.

"Looks like your trying to get back into shape again." He laughed as he reached his hand out towards me.

"Looks like you finally got a haircut."
He laughed as I met his hand and he held it tightly as he helped me up to my feet. We pulled towards one another, slapping the others shoulder.

I can't even remember the last time we did that.

I smiled as I looked at him. God I missed this guy.

"How's the injury?" He asked.

"It could've been better, but it's coming along." I replied as I sat back down on the bed. "I've been doing exercises to get moving again."

He raised an eyebrow at me as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Are you sure that's alright?" He asked.

I nodded. "Obviously, my doctor told me I had to do some things to get moving." I shrugged as I reached my arms out to my sides, stretching.

"Who's your doctor?" He asked.

I pulled my arms behind my head and stretched one before I stretched the other. "Oh Dr.Hanson."

"Hanson?" He looked over at the curtain before he turned back to me. "I've never heard of him before."

The curtain opened and I looked over and saw Trinity. Her scrubs were on, a stethoscope around her neck. She was holding a clipboard tightly in her hands as she looked at the information on the paperwork.

Her hair was pulled up tightly into a bun on the back of her head, honey colored hair hung out the side and her bangs fell down in front of her face, a pen was tucked behind her ear.

She flipped to the next page continuing to read.

She was probably looking over statistics and data of another patient. Well that's what she told me the other day anyways.

Dr.Griffen wanted her to start with caring for a new patient so that when I was gone she wasn't left hanging without anything to turn to.

I looked at Bellamy to see he had a smirk on his face. He raised eyebrows at me and laughing quietly to himself.

I turned back to see Trinity close the curtain behind her and hold the clipboard down to her side.
