Haiden's POV
(2 Years Eight Months Thirty One Days)
I was at the tanners for dinner like I usually was when the alarms sounded. We all looked at one another as I quickly stood.
"Thank you but we'll have to continue this later." I said as I threw the napkin from the lap onto the table and grabbed my gun from the counter and headed towards the door.
The whole family had made their way towards the door and I put a hand up, telling them to stay back. "Don't come outside unless I tell you otherwise."
They all nodded as I quickly opened the door and stepped out into the hallway to look around.
Saying it was chaos wasn't even telling the whole story.
People were screaming as they rushed from the lowest level of the ship to Pheonicia. "Stay here." I said as I pulled my gun from my holster, holding it tightly to my hand and pressed to the side of my thigh as I pushed through the crowd.
I couldn't get far enough, only close enough to watch as the doors sealed shut and through the glass, see people pleading and begging to be let in.
And I could do nothing to help them, only watch as guards forced people away from the glass, the oxygen shut off and then the hatch to space.
And all of them, lifeless, fell into the void toward the earth.
And all I could do was watch, frozen in place as they burned.
