"Hello, Nang? Pwede bang pakisundo na lang po ako sa labas ng mansyon? Ang daming guards sa labas, e." I said while counting how many guards were outside our house.

"Nako, pumasok ka na. Hindi ka naman kilala ng mga guards na 'yan. Atsaka binigyan ko kayo ng invitation 'di ba?" I rolled my eyes.

"You have no choice then. Let's go, Maj." Lars said while unlocking our doors.

"Gosh! I'm nervous. You sure hindi ka kilala ng guards, Maj? Your house's big, and I'm sure it's full as hell right now. This party's more grandeur than I expected!" Pris exclaimed.

"Let's go." I opened the door and held on my purse tight.

Looking at our house was never been this hard for me. I feel like I'm an intruder just by looking at it. I don't think I even missed it. I sighed. I have to get going. After all it's my mom's birthday. I have to rush in the cake.

"Good evening. Mind helping you out with that Miss?" A chef-like guy offered a tray for the cake.

Shaun and Greg carefully placed the cake on top of the tray. I made a four layer cake. Maybe this would do? I handed the invitations to the guards.

They looked at us from head to toe. We're all wearing formal clothing. This is so not us, but I'm thankful they still went with me.

"Gosh! Its packed with people. I think I might see some of my relatives in here." Lars said while fixing her gown in place.

"Let's just go to the kitchen. I'll greet Nang Nilda and then let's head back to Batangas."

"No no no. We'll all be staying at my apartment here in Manila. I've called people to help us with our things. I think they're in my apartment by now." I looked at Lars and sighed.

"You really know how to get in my nerves, Lars." She laughed at me.

"Maj, we've talked about it. I agreed, okay? It's best if we'd stay there. That way you'll be away from your ex-friends. It is for your sake." Pris tapped my shoulder.

"Whatever. You're all going with me or..." I looked at all of them.

"Since we're here, might as well enjoy it. We'll help ourselves with the food and take some walk around your house. I even want to stay in your room!" Pris' full of excitement.

"Bitch. Who told you you can just walk around the house?" I smirked and walked away from them.

"I'm coming with you." Lars held my hand.

"Okay, let's go. I don't feel like staying here longer." We walked hand in hand.

"Nang's over there, oh! Look!" I looked at where Lara was pointing.

"Nang!" I called out to her.

She was talking to someone wearing a gown. The woman turned to face me. And right at that moment, I froze.

"Jacqui!" She ran towards me.

She hugged me tight while crying. I guess I'm doomed. I sighed and hug her back. I tried to hush her from crying.

"Mom, stop crying. I'm not a dead person." I tried to lighten up the mood.

"You rascal! I knew it. The moment I saw my cake, I knew you made it!" She's hitting me lightly at the back.

I laughed. I knew she would know. She's my mom after all.

"Let's go, anak. I'll introduce you to my amigas." She held my hand and tried tugging me.

"Mom, I don't intend to join the party. I just went here to deliver the cake. Besides, I'm with my friends." She looked at me.

"Hi tita, I'm Lara. Maj's friend from Cali." Lara smiled sweetly.
