"Connor, it's not that big a deal," You said as he sat you down on the chair and draped a blanket over you. Connor overreacts to everything, especially when it came to illnesses. Whether it was out fighting and you got injured, or sickness, he always helped those who needed it.

"You are sick, I'm going to help," He looked down at you, still as serious as always.

It had started when you two were out hunting the other night, you had started to cough, scaring the prey away. He had started to suspect something was wrong, but he didn't say anything.

He went through to the kitchen, leaving you on your own for a small while when you started to cough again. He immediately rushed back into the room you were in and hovered at your side, asking if you needed anything.

"My people always used this when someone got ill," he picks up a bowl from the table, slightly steaming and full of different herbs. It smelled like burning leaves, but he was trying his best to help, you didn't want to shoot him down. He held out a spoon for you to take, watching you take a small amount of the liquid on the utensil.

"You need more than that," he chuckled slightly, guiding your hand to scoop more onto the spoon. You slowly bought it to your mouth, the pungent smell of dirt and water filling your nose. You put the very end of the spoon in your mouth, not wanting to have too much in one go incase you spat it back out.

"How does it taste?" He asked, looking at your confused face focusing on the liquid on the spoon. You looked back up at him and gave your best smile, but even he could see through the lies

"You do not have to lie, it is not supposed to taste good," he chuckled slightly, something that was a rare sight.

*a few days later*
The remedy Connor gave you must've helped because that day you woke up feeling much better. Over the past few days, he really has been fussing over you, something that he hardly ever does for you. You quite liked the attention, to be honest, and decided to keep up the sick act for at least another day. You started coughing again, trying to mimic the same cough you had. You walked down the stairs into the kitchen, where Connor was, yet again, making some more of the repulsive remedy. He turned around and saw you, and rushed to your side, putting both large hands on your small shoulders

"You should not be stood up for so long, come, sit down," He led you over to another chair, draping another blanket around you. You didn't squirm around like you did a few days back, relishing in the attention the large man gave you. He went back to the kitchen, grabbing another bowlful of the herbal remedy, steam swirling through the air. You went through the whole ordeal of trying to stomach the piping hot liquid and watching Connor chuckle at you.

Throughout the day, you called Connor whenever you needed him, weather you needed a drink, or you were too cold or too hot, and if you got hungry. By the end of the day, you were both pretty tired, sitting on two chairs in front of the fireplace. Connor looked at you for a moment, the warm orange glow lighting up one side of his face. The corners of his mouth upturned ever so slightly as you turned to face him.

"What?" You asked, confused at his amusement

"I know you are not sick," He shook his head, laughing every so slightly

"What? How do you know?" You replied

"It does not matter, I would gladly fuss over you any day," He smiled, still looking at you.
