"We the jury find Macy Tara guilty of the murder of Henry Sadlo and Olivia Sadlo."

Ahh's fill the courtroom

I stare off into the crowd.

Kenny, Kelsey, and Wen sits in the front row with sadness and shock and horror all of over their faces.

My mother accompanies them with tears streaming down her face and a tissue held against her mouth.

"Macy Tara, you are sentenced to life in prison at Luther Lucket Correctional Complex without the possibility of parol." The judge bellows

Officers come get me, placing handcuffs on my wrists and guiding me out of the courtroom.

I don't bother looking back at anyone. I don't bother to say anything or do anything.

I have nothing left in me.

There's no breath, no ache...no life.

There's absolutely nothing but emptiness.

As I'm being led down the long narrow hallway, I hear the shuffle of chains and look up.

Gabriel who is about to go to court walks down the hallway towards me, staring me in the eyes.

We don't say anything as we pass each other.

Gabriel just gives me a quick wink and continues on down the hall.
