Jellal's Dream (Jellal's P.O.V)
I was sitting on a fleece red and white checkered blanket. It was a beautiful summer day, and there was a perfect summer breeze in the air. There was food all over the blanket, beautifully made. It's chef sat in front of me, her gorgeous scarlet hair swaying in the wind under a floppy sun hat that just made her look all the more adorable. Her tranquil brown eyes caught a flare of sunlight, causing them to shine like gold.
We were sitting on a grassland, with wild flowers spotting here and there. Our location was bordered by forest trees.
My eyes became fixed on her as she was devouring her favorite food, strawberry cake. My strawberry girl.
Just then, she paused and looked up, noticing me staring at her.
"Looks good, what does it taste like?" I asked her with a friendly smile.
"Amazing! Do you want to share with me?" She pronounced happily as she offered me some of the cake.
There was some strawberry cake filling on the corner of her mouth she had yet to realize was there. I leaned forward, making her eyes widen. I took my thumb and stole the filling from her skin, and tasted it on my tongue.
She turned as red as her hair, just as I expected.
"You're right, this is delicious," I smirked at her truthfully.
She's so adorable. My Erza is so adorable. I swear, I'm the luckiest guy alive for even being allowed in her presence. Just then, I did what I wanted to do since the second I saw her again on the outskirts of Magnolia.
I took her into my arms and hugged her tight into my body. I felt her heartbeat flutter and her lungs expand and release against my own. I felt her body heat pressing into me, unmistakably Erza's warmth. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. Her hair smelt of fragrant strawberries. Saw that one coming from a mile away.
"Erza I have to admit something," I said opening my dark brown eyes.
"What is it Jellal?" She breathed into my shoulder,
"I have to admit that from the minute I met you, when we were just kids, I admit that I loved you from the very start. And I've messed up incredibly, I've hurt you, I've taken from you and so many others things I could never give back... I know I'm not prince charming, I know I'm broken..."
I pulled back to look at her in the eyes, as I felt for a box in my coat pocket.
"But this broken heart has always loved you. I love you, Erza Scarlet. And part of me has always known, that the best last name I could ever give you, is Fernandes. I need you, and only you, Erza,"
I pulled out the small box from my pocket, and opened it for her to see the ring awaiting for her inside. My heart raced as I watched her gasp and cover her mouth in surprise.
"Erza Scarlet, I have spent my entire life doing things wrong. But this is the one thing I know is right. So Please, my beautiful Erza, will you make me the luckiest man alive, and give me your hand in marriage?"
Tears formed in both of her eyes as she smiled the widest smile I'd ever seen from her. She enthusiastically nodded yes as her hands left her face and threw themselves around my neck.
"Y-yes," she said through tears.
"Y-Yes?" I asked for reassurance when I felt tears form and fall from my eyes as well,
"Yes!" She proclaimed, hugging me tighter,
I knew that today was one of the happiest days of my life. The only day better than this will be the day I watch her walk down the isle. Only Erza could make my heart feel like it was going to explode at any given moment. I closed my eyes, enjoying this moment to the best of my ability.
