You were sitting on your couch. You were waiting for his motor cycle to stop in front of your door, but no matter how often you checked your phone if you had not missed his call or text message, he was nowhere to be seen.
He had promised that this time he wouldn't cancel. He had promised that the two of you would have dinner in a real restaurant. He had even promised that he would turn his phone off for once. That tonight his world would turn around you.
That night however was slowly becoming shorter and shorter. Just like it was getting darker and darker.
You weren't even sure if the restaurant would still let you in this late. But actually that was the least of your worries.
Normally if Scott had to cancel a date he called or he texted, but this time he had not let you know anything. What if something had happened? What if he was hurt or wounded? What if it was even worse than that?
You held your breath and crossed your fingers. "Please, let him come soon..." You whispered the words over and over until you heard the almost calming sound of his motorcycle. Quickly you jumped up and you opened the door to run outside. "Where have you been? Are you okay?"
Scott licked his lips and he bent his head. "Sorry, I wanted to call you, but it was too dangerous." He took off his helmet and you saw a scratch on his left cheek. "I know that I'm a horrible boyfriend lately, but I'll try to make it up to you." Scott wrapped his arms around you and pressed you to his chest. "And I hope that you don't forget why you fell in love with me in the first place." Scott smiled and you smiled back at him.
"I think I need a reminder..." You had a glimmer in your eyes, but Scott pressed his lips on yours.
"I can do that."
