Request - Drabble John Murphy

Your heart stood still when you saw Murphy lying in the middle of the road.

His face was covered in blood. He wasn't moving. He wasn't breathing.

You stopped breathing too, while your heart was racing in your chest. And then you opened the door of the rover and started running. "Murphy?" You screamed, your eyes filling themselves with tears. "Murphy, please tell me you're not dead!" You carefully kneeled down next to him, but all of a sudden Murphy sat up with a smile on his face.

"Don't worry, I'm not dead." He shrugged his shoulders and he raised his eyebrows. "Hell doesn't want me." He grinned a little when you sighed relieved.

"Are you hurt? Or wounded?" You grabbed his cheeks and checked the blood on his face out.

"No, it's animal blood. Can you please stop freaking out about it?" Murphy pushed himself up and he held out his hand to help you up too. "I'm totally fine, apart from my damaged soul and ego." He cocked his head a little and you shook yours.

"Then why did you do that?" You were still out of breath and your heart rate wasn't planning on calming down.

"Why did I do what?"Murphy stared at you and you stared back, while you crossed your arms over your chest.

"Why were you lying in the middle of the road covered in blood?" You kept on looking at him, but Murphy just shrugged his shoulders and a smile was spreading across his face.

"Someone would stop, I would hit their head and I would steal their food and stuff. And hey, I would have survived another day!" Murphy kept on smiling, even though you couldn't understand what was so funny about this.

"What about you come with me and we'll make sure you'll survive in the camp without all those bloody tricks?"

"Sounds a lot less exciting, but fine, whatever you want."
