Request - Drabble Derek Hale

It was official now. This evening couldn't get any worse. As if having a fight with Derek had not been bad enough already, your car had decided to break down.

So, here you were. In the middle of the woods. Lost. Soaked. And shivering. You sat down in the mud and placed your back against one of the trees. You were lucky that it was summer. If it had been winter, you wouldn't have made it through the night.

The tears rolled down your cheeks. There was nothing but darkness and a new moon. Luckily it was a new moon and not a full moon. It was Beacon Hills. Everyone knew what could happen at night if you were on your own.

You couldn't even remember why you and Derek had been fighting. You vaguely remembered that you had screamed something about being worried and he had screamed back that he was a werewolf and that danger was part of his life. Deep down you knew that he had been right. You had known all of this when you had started this relationship. And you also knew that it was not going to change just because you wanted it to.

"(Y/N)!" Derek's arms were around your body before you had even noticed that he was there. "Are you okay?" Derek didn't wait for the answer, but he carefully lifted you up. "Let's get you home."

You had no idea how far away from his home you had been when the car had crashed down, but it didn't seem to matter. Within a couple of minutes you were on his couch covered in blankets with a mug filled with hot tea in your hands. "I was angry at you..." You swallowed and you looked up at him. Your voice was trembling, just like your hands. "Why are you doing this?"

Derek sat down next to you and he wrapped an arm around your shoulders. "Which part of I love you don't you understand?" He smiled a little smile and he pressed his forehead on yours. "I love you and I'm not gonna let you leave after a fight before we've made up."

You smiled back at him and you closed your eyes while you kissed him. "But I still won't stop worrying about you when you're out doing something dangerous."

Derek shrugged his shoulders and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear. "I assume that's part of I love you too, right?"
