"Just to be clear love... we're doing this my way." Klaus actually crossed his arms, looking more like a petulant child than he would want to admit.
You kind of did the same. You know you didn't have to come with him, but you were here anyway, and judged by the way Klaus looked, he wasn't really used to being out here.
"Because you're so experienced in hiding yourself in this part of the country? I grew up here, remember?"He sighed, rolling his eyes.
"When we would have done what I wanted, we wouldn't be here in the first place. I very much prefer my hide outs quite a bit sunnier, more exclusive and most definitely not this... dilapidated..." He looked at the cabin you had chosen for your night's stay with what only could be called disgust. You tried to ignore that. You had to listen to him whine the entire day, and you kind of had grown sick of it.
"So you would like to be at such a distance from your siblings that you don't even know what's going on in New Orleans? We can be right back there if needed, Klaus. Stop whining. Start manning up."He stood up, clearly starting to get really irritated. He walked towards you, finger in that typical position of him that you started to hate.
"Do not tell me what to do. I've run for over a thousand years, and the moment I thought that was all over, I can start doing that again. Excuse me if I indulge myself in a few moments of misery before following you around in this godforsaken part of the country you like to call home!"That was enough.
"I have tolerated you indulging yourself for an entire day, Klaus. I've sat next to you in the car, listening to your non stop rambling about everyone coming after you, about no one standing beside you. Well, let me tell you something. Your siblings are still there. Freya is hiding you. Elijah is worried about you. I came on this trip because I care about you. You're not alone, so stop acting like you are." You rolled your eyes, and the moment you saw he wanted to say something, you didn't let him. "Can't you stop thinking about you for this one time? We're in this together, and I'd love to get back to New Orleans as well. I just care more for your safety..." With those last words, your anger started to seep away, being aware of what was at stake here.Klaus seemed to realize the same, and he nodded.
"You might be right in that, sweetheart. I'll just have to endure it a bit longer." He started smirking. "But if this takes too long, I'll compel us a flight to some deserted island after all."You couldn't do anything but laugh about that.
"Fine. That's a deal."
