Allison sat behind the computer. She had her eyes squeezed and she was staring at the screen. Her finger was scrolling through pages and pages of Latin. You knew that she just wanted to do something, you knew that she just wanted to help the pack, but she had been sitting there for hours already without eating, drinking, talking.
"Allison..." You stood up from your seat and walked towards her, wrapping your arms around her neck. "Can you please stop?" You already knew the answer, but you wanted to give it a try anyway. You pressed a soft kiss on her cheek.
"I'm almost there. Maybe if I read a few more pages, I'll find the answer." Allison didn't even turn around to look at you. She kept on scrolling and she kept on reading.
"Allison..." You swallowed and you cocked your head. "You've been staring at this screen for hours now. You need to eat and drink something and you're ruining your eyes." You took a deep breath and bit your lip. "And I'm not sure if your aim will improve when you keep on doing this."
Allison turned her head towards you and she shook it. "What do you mean?" She frowned her eyebrows and you smiled a half smile. At least part of your plan seemed to succeed.
"I don't know much about this, but I don't think your sight will get better if you don't take breaks." You saw how Allison sighed and she dropped her shoulders.
"Fine, I'll take a break. But I'll continue in half an hour." She stood up from her seat and she wrapped her arms around your neck while she pressed her lips on yours. "I need to save my friend's lives." She whispered and you nodded before you kissed her back.
"I know, but I'm in charge of saving yours."
