Isaac stared at his phone. Again. He had been staring at his phone about ten times during the last minute. It was probably because his phone had been ringing three times in the last five minutes.

"So, if you don't like the date, you can just say so..." You licked your lips and cocked your head. Actually the date had been amazing until five minutes ago.

Isaac had been smiling, he had been holding your hand and he had been joking. He had been able to make you feel amazing, even though you had no idea why or how.

Just like you had no idea why it all of a sudden had changed. Did you say something that hurt him? Did you do something he didn't like?

"O, it's not you. It's just..." Isaac cocked his head and scratched the back of his neck. "A friend of mine is calling me and I think he needs me." He bent his head and stared at the empty plate in front of him. Dinner wasn't served yet, but it seemed he was not going to wait for that.

"You want to go to your friend?" You frowned your eyebrows and swallowed. "We're on a date and I was actually having a fun time and I don't really get why you would want to leave now." You felt your cheeks heating up and you shifted your weight a little.

"I was having a great time too and I really don't wanna leave." Isaac shook his head and he looked up at you again. "Scott would never call if it wasn't urgent or something."

You took a deep breath and felt your eyes filling themselves with tears. "Fine, just go. If you really want to go to him instead of staying with me I get it, but..." You shook your head and stared at the boy, who had been so sweet, in front of you. "If you leave now, you don't need to come back." You whispered and Isaac stared at his phone once more before he put it away.

"Yeah, I get that. I'll text Scott that I'll come after our date, okay?" Isaac smiled at you and you smiled back at him.

"Okay."
