Alexandria POV

I opened my eyes and I saw the celling. Oh great where am I. I stared closer and I realised that it was mine bedroom celling. I turned my head and there was Mathew siting asleep in the chair next to my bed.

Everything hurt but I lift my arm and touched Mathew "Mathew"

He opened his eyes and looked at me "Alexandria...I mean my Lady. How are you feeling?"

"It's ok Mathew call my Alexandria if you want." He looked at me shouted

"Are you sure?" He asked

I nodded my head

"But what kind of butler would I be if I said my lady's first name." He said

I looked at him "Mathew not now."

I tried to get up but Mathew stopped me. "The doctor said that you need to rest. When you fell you broke your ankle, hurt your wrist, and you also have a small concussion."

"Where's Annabelle is she ok?" I asked laying back down

"She's save, she's back in the barn." He handed me a glass of water while he continued to talk "Sebastian found her and brought her back after he brought you home. He's the one who found you Alex and thank god that he did."

I gave him back the glass after taking a couple of sips. The water really felt good going down. "Sebastian found me, didn't you hear my yelling for you Mathew?"

"No I didn't, and I apologies, and yes Sebastian did find you and brought you home."

"I yelled at the top of my lung saying your name and you didn't...." There was a giant rush of pain in my head. I squinted at the pain.

"Shh it's ok, relax, the doctor said that this will happen. Just focus on breathing ok, then pain will go away." He told me taking my hand

I did what he said, and just focused on my breathing. It was just a few minutes later when the pain finally went away. We both looked at each other's eyes. I already felt love towards him but I didn't know how to tell him, or how to show him. I didn't even know if he loves me yet. Everything or everyone I loved/cared about always leaves or disappears. And I don't want Mathew to disappear.

Mathew POV

We just stared in each other's eyes no body to interrupt us. I could tell in her eyes that she loved me and yes I did love her. I know that one of these days that I had to tell her. But right now wasn't the best moment.

"You should get some rest."

"A-alright." I stood up and covered her a little bit

"Mathew" she said

"Yes"

"Can you have Sebastian know I'm thankful for what his done for me please, and also Mathew...Thank you for staying by my side."

"Right away, and I'll always stay by your side." I said

I watched her as she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Alexandria POV

It's only been two days since the accident and my wrist is almost better, my ankle was still broken of course

"Good morning my lady." Mathew said on a sunny morning

I opened my eyes and looked at him. Usually in the morning throat would only hurt a little but this morning it really hurt.

"Today's tea we have Foernum and Mason's Royal Blend, and breakfast we have Cotswold cheese with herbs, with an accompaniment of spinach salad and either fresh-baked bread or scones."

That doesn't sound good for my throat. I thought to myself "Mathew" I said but my voice went after that,

Mathew notice my voice "That doesn't sound good" He walks over to me and placed his hand on my forehead "You have a fever"

Great just what I needed. "H..."

"Shh you must it talk, you need to rest your voice." He said, then he looked my eyes. "I'll make you something else for breakfast if you want."

I open my mouth but remembered then closed it and shook my head. I want scramble eggs and tea with honey. But if I can't talk how will I be able to tell Mathew what I want

"I'll make what you want scramble eggs with some tea with honey." He said with a wink. I just gave a smile He doesn't sot to impress me.

If was a few minutes and Mathew come back in with a tray and placed it in front of me. The tray had scramble eggs, a cup of tea with honey and a glass of apple juice. I took a bite of the eggs it did hurt a little but it did feel good going down.

After I was done eating Mathew took the try. "Here if you need anything ring the bell then you can write what you want ok." He said handing me a little silver bell and a pad of paper and a pen. I simple nodded.

It was a few hours since I've first woken up. I hate being in bed all day it was really boring. There was nothing for me to do, plus it is really hard not talking to Mathew when he walked it. At least I can still hear his voice. I really loved the sound of his sweet voice.

"My lady" Speaking of the devil. I looked up and smile

He walked in with another tray. "For this afternoon lunch we have soup with salted crackers, and with a cup of tea." He placed the try on top of me and I started to eat. It felt really good eating but it still kinda hurt. After I ate Mathew placed the tray aside and he sat down next to me on the bed.

He placed his hand on my forehead "Your fever has come down" He smiled "That's good, now it's time for you to get more rest." I got up and I lead down.

Before he left a rang the bell "Yes" he came back over, and I grabbed the paper and pen and wrote

Mathew I want you to lay down with me.

I gave him the pad and he read it then he lay down beside me. I couldn't help it but I snuggle up beside him. Next thing I knew I was asleep.
