Fever

Mathew POV

I smiled at my sleeping lover lying beside me. I was still rubbing her back. Sebastian was still here and in her bedroom with me.

"Mathew do you feel anything on her back? Like any things abnormal?" Sebastian asked

"Not that I...." I stopped when I rub across a lump on her back "Sebastian."

"Yes" He got up and came over.

"Feel this." I told him. He brought he hand up and touched her back where my hand was. I changed her into a long tang top nightgown that was the pale peach color. "What is it Sebastian?"

He smiled "She's taking after her father."

"What do you mean Sebastian?" I asked

"She's getting her wings." I stared at him

She's going to have wings I thought to myself "Sebastian..."

"Don't worry Mathew she's manly human but she does have demon in her, like having wings like me and living longer then human." He told me

"So she can live as long as me. Does she have to eat souls?" I ask

He smiles "Only if she wants to but no she doesn't, but since she's still human she can still get human illness so you still have to take care of her if she gets ill. Speaking of Illness she might be getting sick she's getting pale. Anyway I hear my master calling, I have to be off." He kissed her forehead and jumped out of the window.

I looked at Alex. "Sweet dreams love."

Sebastian POV

*Couple of days later*

I was walking up the stairs bringing my young master some tea when I heard the phone ring. I stopped and picked it up. "Hello"

"Hey Sebastian."

"Hello Mathew how are you?" I asked

"I'm doing fine but..." he traced off

"What's wrong?" I asked worried. Alex please be alright. I thought

"How did you know that she was getting sick?" He asked

"Why is she alright?" I asked

"She has a high fever Sebastian and she wants her father." He said

"Alright I'll see what I can do to get over there." I told him and hanged up

I walked up to my master's office and knocked. When I heard come in I opened the door and walked in putting his tea down

"Young Master."

"What do you want?" He asked Oh great his in a bad mood. I told myself

"Well Young master I was wondering if I could be by Alexandria's side for a while." I asked

"Why?"

"Just a father thing." I told him. I knew if I told him that she was sick he would get worried and I didn't want him to get worried.

"Whatever just go." He told me

"Thank you My Lord." I bowed and left. I went quickly to Alex manor and walked in knowing that Mathew was too busy looking after Alex to answer the door. I went to her room and knocked on the door. Mathew opened it and I walked in going next to my daughter's bed.

"D-addy" She said as she saw me. She gave me a small smile well the best that she could.

"Hey sweetheart." I brought my hand and felt her forehead, as I did this she closed her eyes. "Oh you're really burning." I looked at her then at Mathew "Have you been putting a clod cloth on her forehead?"

"Yes I have been."

"Daddy" I looked at her.

"Yes."

"I w-want you to lay down with me...Will you?"

"Of course I will." I sat taking off my shoes and tail coat and layed down next to her. She curled up next to me and I wrapped my arms around her. I started to stroke her hair calmly. I smiled at the site of my daughter finally being in my arms. A few minutes of my stroking her hair that she was fast asleep. I put my head down on the top of hers trying to send her good thoughts for good dreams.

"Sebastian?" Mathew said

"Yes Mathew"

"Um I was wondering if..."

"Don't worry I'm not going to separate the two of you." I told him

"No I was thinking about what she told me."

"What? What did she say?"

"She said a while ago that the night when she got kidnapped by Claude the second time, while you and Claude were fighting that Hannah let her go, and called her princess. Do you know anything about that?"

"No I don't but I wish that I did." I told him. "Mathew could you promise me something."

"Ok"

"Could you promise me that you will protect her when I'm not here beside her?"

"Of course I'll protect her." He said

"That's good" I told him. I looked back at Alex and kissed her forehead. I would have never thought that I would have my daughter back. I thought to myself.

It has been a couple of hours and I was still laying with my daughter. I was about to get up but then I started to felt her moving. I looked at her and saw that she was awake

"Sweetheart."

"Daddy your still here?" She asked

"Of course I'm still here. I'm worried about my daughter." I told her

"Daddy I'm glad that I found you." She told me with a small smile

"Me to hunny."

"Where's Mathew?" She question

"Making you something easy for you to eat."

"Ok. Daddy do you have to leave?"

"Who said anything about leaving baby?"

"What about Ce...." She was interrupted by her coughing, picking her up she that she was sitting up against me for a little support I rub her back while she coughed. After her coughing fit I handed her a glass of water. Taking it and taking a couple of sips pausing in between so she wouldn't go into another coughing fit she then looked at me "Th-thank you daddy."

"Your welcome baby." I put the glass of water on the nightstand and layed her back down. "Now please rest some more so you can get better and be my happy and smiley daughter again." I told her while gently stroking her hair.

"Ok daddy. I love you"

"I love you too sweetheart."
