chapter 62

Mathew POV

It was a month or so and my poor lady still had morning sickness. I felt so bad for her. She was three months along with her pregnancy and was doing really well. She had another doctors appointment in a couple of days to see how our little Adelaide was doing.

The lady has been sleeping a lot more and the doctor said that was normal to feel exhausted during pregnancy but that didn't help my worry towards her and our daughter.

She was in her room taking a little nap when I went to wake her. She now would take small naps so she could get through her day easier.

Walking over to our shared bed due to Alex didn't want me to leave. So her room became our room. Though I do not mind.

I looked down upon her. She was fast asleep. She was sleeping on her side snuggled onto the pillow that I used. She must have wanted me. She had one hand resting on her belly and that other resting under her cheek.

I smiled softly as I leaned over her and kissed her forehead.

She moved slightly as she slowly opened her eyes. She looked at me for a second then cuddled into the pillow more.

She was tired and that was alright. I just wanted to see how she was doing.

"Would you rather cuddle into me my love." I said already starting to take off my tail coat and vest and shoes. I had everything done and she didn't have anytging to do, so we had time to cuddle.

She opened her eyes and glanced at me then slowly nodded. Moving the pillow, I layed down. Alex immediately cuddled into my chest before I could settle.

I wrapped my arms around her. She was my Angel. My sweet precious angel. She yawned before cuddling more into me. It made me smile.

"My love. How are you feeling?" I asked gently rubbing his back.

Small moans escaped her mouth. "T-tired." She murmured.

"Well go back to sleep if you wish my love. Your schedule is free at this time." It wasn't soon after that her breathing was slow once more.

I smiled at her. Leaning down carefully. I kissed the top of her head.

She stayed asleep for a while.

Alex POV

When I woke up it was around two but it felt later. Mathew wasn't beside me anymore.

Getting up I walked out carrying my shoes. I didn't want to put them on since my feet were hurting and swollen.

Going downstairs I stop feeling like I was being watched. I looked around. But no one was there.

I walked towards the kitchen the feeling grew. I stopped right out the door. Breathing deeply I walked in.

No one. Signing I walked over to the fridge and opened it with my free hand and looked inside.

Then I felt a cloth go over my mouth. I felt myself dropping my heels. I tried to scream and tried to get away but I stopped. For two reasons.

The first one was because I knew Mathew would safe me and I would be safe. And the second was because of Adelaide.

I didn't want to hurt both myself or my daughter. Soon I felt my body falling as I went unconscious

Mathew POV

I walk into the kitchen to make something for my love when I saw her heels laying on the floor near the fridge.

Quickly walking over to them and picked them up. "Alex." I dropped the heels and raced up to her room

Opening the door I didn't see Alex anywhere. I rushed in the bathroom and no one.

'Where could she be?' I rushed out of her room and ran throughout the manor but yet I couldn't find her. I tried feeling her but nothing.

Claude was still here. I was starting to panic when I felt a hand on my shoulder. Whipping around there stood Claude.

"What's wrong Mathew?" He asked.

"The lady is gone. I can not find her anywhere." I said.

Claude eyes widen. "N-no." He said below his breath but I was able to hear it.
