Cold Christmas Shopping

Alex POV

It was late December. I was at peace in Mathew's arms. I shivered and cuddled deeper into Mathew's chest.

It was extremely cold in my room. Though I had a fire going and the heater was on, but yet it was still freezing.

I cuddled into Mathew. He let out a little laugh. I looked up. "Wh-what." I said.

"Your just so cute. What is bothering you my love." He asked softly.

"Mattie I'm freezing, but the heat is up and the fire is going." I said to him.

"I'll go get another blanket hopefully that will warm you up." Mathew said as he carefully got out of the bed and left to get some more blankets.

Once Mathew was gone I curled fully under the blanket and shivered for a second or two.

I was still under the blankets when I heard the door opening and footsteps. Then I heard the chuckle that I loved so much. I was scared before I knew it was Mathew since I was kidnapped countless of times, but I knew that Mathew will always be there to rescue me no matter what. 

I peaked my head from under the blankets and looked at Mathew. He smiled at me before laid the two new blankets down before crawling back in.

He then pulled me close to his chest as I cuddled deep once more.

So it would be Christmas. I wanted to get something for Mathew but what. He would tell me that he didn't need anything but there had to be something he'll like.

I looked up at him. "Mathew what would you like for Christmas?" I asked again hoping that he'll actually answer.

Mathew looked down at me. He gave me a warm smile. "My love. You know that I do not celebrate Christmas, and sides I have everything that I wanted right here." He said. "I have you and we have our little angel." He said placing his hand on my belly.

"I know that you don't celebrate Christmas but there has to be something." I said.

He shook his head. "I could not ask you for anything my love. All I wish for is your health and happiness." He said.

I sighed knowing that I wasn't going to get anywhere with him again. I let it go and just cuddled into him. 'There had to be something.'  I thought to myself.

The extra blankets worked and I warmed up quite a bit. I didn't know why it was freezing but it was but now I was warming up cuddled into my lover.

A couple of days after that and my father and I went out into town. My father wanted to get my mom something for Christmas and I was still trying to pick out something for Mathew.

"God why does Mathew have to be so hard to shop for?" I said.

My father looked at me. "I would have to say the same for you and your mother, angel." Sebastian said with a small chuckle.

I let out a laugh. "I'm sorry daddy. But all I want is you and my family together. It's the first Christmas with my parents again. I-I want it to be perfect." I told him.

Sebastian pulled me close to his body and held him close. "It will be the best Christmas. I promise you angel." He said.

I smiled and hugged him. "I love you daddy."

"I love you as well." He said.

The rest of the day we went around the stores. Sebastian held a beg with the present for my mom from the both of us.

We went to another store after stopping and getting something to eat.

We walked into a little store. It was cute. It was like a little antic store. Everything looked old and ancient. I fell in love with this little store.  

As we walked around the store I was separated from my father I was walking when I stopped when a picture frame caught my eye. It was a dark brown maybe a little bit of reddish. It had words on it saying "Best dad ever." I looked at it then at Sebastian. My dad.

I smiled and picked it up and saw that behind it was another picture frame saying.

'Every love story is beautiful but ours is my favorite.'

I smiled at it. I brought both picture frames to the front and talked to the seller.

The man looked middle age. He smiled softly at me as I walked up. "You can personalized this one if you want." He said holding up the couple one.

I nodded. "Can to please put Mathew and Alexandria. Or if you can Matt and Alex. Please and thank you." I asked.

He nodded. "Of course. Would you like to pick it up or want to get it in the mail?" He asked.

"I'll pick it up." I told him he just nodded.

I paid for them both and he kept the couple one as he gave me the other frame in a bag.

"I'll be done by tomorrow." The man said. "Just come in around 4." He said.

I smiled and nodded. "Thank you." I said before going up to my father. "You ready to go back to the manor angel?" He asked and I nodded.

"Yes. My feet are hurting." I told him.

He smiled and nodded.

I smiled as we made it to my manor and we all relaxed the rest of the night but not before I hid my present for my father.
