“Mum!” Florence yelled.

“What was that for?” Dan replied.

“So you haven’t told her, that you’re leaving her as soon as she gets out of here, for your music. You have to go back to London, for 6 months.”

“What?” Florence said.

“I haven’t said whether I was going or not and I was hoping that Florence would be well enough to come too.”

“We wanted Florence to stay with us for a while.”

“That’s my choice.” Florence said trying to be heard.

“Then I would consider staying.”

“Consider, Kyle would say he’d stay no matter what.” Her mother replied.

“Kyle, does not love your daughter as much as I do, but we both know he would go, so don’t use that against me. We are a band and we are going to be busy but I would make time in any day to see Florence.”

“WOULD YOU TWO JUST STOP IT?” Florence yelled.

A nurse came over.

“Please, do not yell, some of the patients are trying to sleep and Mrs Smith here needs to keep calm.” She said then trotted off.

“Mrs Smith, ha she deserves so much more than you.”

“Yes, Mrs Heathcliff she does. Kyle would be her perfect husband I expect. But, I can’t stand here and see her walk into another mans arms, I need her in mine, so even if that ruins my career then tell the band you were the one who ruined there dreams because I couldn’t care less anymore, the only person who means anything to me is Florence and I’m going to marry her when her hair is long, have twenty kids with her and live in a big mansion and we will raise all of those children to be good people and then they will be successful musicians cause Flo is an amazing singer. I love your daughter so much; I would run around naked in a street and yell it out to the world, well maybe in a onesie not entirely naked. But I’ll take her to France and Vivre le Bastille.” He said so meaningfully.

Her mother was taken aback and just walked out.

Florence smiled at Dan, and then slapped him.

“I deserved that.” He said and kissed her.
