“WHAT IS IT?” Florence yelled over a few sobs.
Daisy let herself in and walked up to Florence.
“Dan told me to give you this.” Daisy said and passed her a piece of paper.
“I’ll drive you to court on Friday and take you home to your parents; I think it’ll give you a break from us. I will keep in contact and it’s your choice whether you reply or not. Goodbye Florence.” She read it out.
“What’s a court?” Daisy asked.
“A tennis court, you know to play tennis on.” She lied tactfully.
“You’re playing tennis?”
“Yes, I am.”
Daisy looked puzzled but hugged Florence and walked towards the door.
Before she went out she said:
“I want Dan to be my brother.”
Florence nodded.
The days flew by until Friday morning.
Florence woke up with a nervous feeling, she had to go to court and she knew Dan would be awkward with her.
She went downstairs and had her breakfast, and then she got ready into a blouse and a skirt, so she could show her bruises.
Dan knocked on the door.
Daisy opened the door and hugged Dan.
“I gave her the note.” Daisy smiled.
“Thanks.”
“I think she’s missed you.” Daisy said then ran off to find Florence.
Daisy dragged Florence to see Dan.
“Hi.” She said awkwardly.
“Hi you look nice.” He said.
