“Did you tell them about us getting back together?”
“I haven’t had the time and…”
“And?”
“Because I’m trying my hardest to keep our relationship out of the media, I haven’t spoken about you very much.”
“Dan it’s been three or four years hasn't it?”
“I know I know.”
“And it never occurred to you to tell your parents, oh yeah I have a girlfriend and I’m going to marry her.”
“We only started liking eachother the other year.”
“Then you had a whole year away when you could have told them what had happened.”
“Oh yeah by the way I got shot and my girlfriend hates me.”
“Oh yeah, I’ve been a total idiot and I’ve lost my girlfriend, you mean.”
“You told me to stay single, I did.”
“That’s because I can’t bear ever seeing you with another woman, I never could. I hated every single woman who you set your eyes upon. I tried to tell you about Kyle, about how much I loved you but it never came out the right way, I never wanted any of this to happen, I didn’t want you to come into this. How many times have I said that? I wanted to be with you ever since I met you, and sometimes I feel as if I’m the only one fighting for us.” She stopped, Dan’s eyes looked sad and his lips curled downwards into a frown. “I’m sorry.” She said and ran out with tears streaming down her cheeks.
Her dad tried to stop her but she just pushed him out the way.
She ran to her car and drove off.
Dan ran out the room and her dad stopped him.
“What have you done?” He asked.
“I, I don’t know, let me go, let me find her.”
“Usually when Flo leaves like that, it means she needs time alone.”
Dan stood there helpless. He just nodded and went back to his room to get his stuff.
