“Media overwhelmed her a bit.” Kyle explained.
Woody spotted them and joined the hug. “What’s up?”
“Media freaked her out.” Dan explained.
Will came over and joined the hug as well. “What’s up?” He asked.
“She was a bit freaked by the media.” Woody said.
They all released.
“Who told you to release? I’m cold now.”
“I’ll walk you out and whilst they ask me questions you make a run for it. Okay?” Dan said.
“Sure.” They walked out and the media were waiting.
“Is she your girlfriend? Are you touring this year? Is there going to be another album?” They blurted.
“Yes, maybe and probably.” He said as Florence slipped away, he answered a few more questions then went back inside.
Florence got the bus to Tesco’s and started wheeling herself around on the trolley. Life was back to normal again and it felt so strange.
She stuffed some frozen peas into the trolley and sighed. She hummed ‘Flaws’.
“Excuse me?” A woman said.
“Yes?” Florence replied.
“Could you reach that jar of jam for me please?”
“Yeah sure.” Florence said reaching and passing the jar to the lady.
“Thank you, I could help but overhear you humming a song.”
“Yes, it’s called ‘Flaws’ from my friend’s band.” Florence explained.
“I recognize it; it’s one of my son’s songs.” The lady said.
Florence looked at her closely. “Your Dan’s mum?”
“You’re not a stalker are you?” She asked.
“No.” Florence tried to sound slightly convincing.
