“Well, everything must happen for a reason.” She said.
“Yeah we should move house to get out of danger.”
“Everyone is locked away, we will be fine.” She couldn’t believe the words could come out of her mouth.
“It’s funny how 2 years ago you said we wouldn’t get out of this, look what we did.”
“Look what you did.” She started smiling, “Daniel, I told you to leave me alone but you didn’t and I am so thankful for that. I love you more than anyone in the world and no-one can tear us apart, Nick and Kyle couldn’t.”
“That’s until I find out you have other male friends who love you.”
“Well only a few but I think they’re all married, apart from Adrian maybe.”
“Adrian?”
“He was kind of a stalker, I just ignored him, he was a bit… weird.”
“A stalker great, all of your old boyfriends are going to kill me.”
“They weren’t boyfriends, they just showed interest.”
“Interest, right?”
“Well, they’ll just have to be jealous when the media finds out and we’re plastered all over the newspapers.”
Dan was about to reply when the ambulance stopped and they had to wheel Florence out. Dan spent the rest of the day waiting in the hospital whilst Florence had X rays and other tests.
Her father walked into the room and pushed Dan up against the wall.
“Never hang up on me again, when my daughter is in danger I need to know she is safe.”
“SHE WOULDN’T BE HERE IF YOU’D HAVE JUST LET ME GO AFTER HER IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!” Dan yelled pushing him back.
A nurse came in. “Please could you keep it down, there are patients here, any racket or fighting and I will alert the police.” She said sternly.
They both nodded.
“Who called the ambulance?”
“Nick did, long story but we cannot tell her.”
