A year had passed.
Bastille had risen to fame and Bad Blood was released.
Their concerts were sold out.
Dan didn’t have the time to meet anyone, he had text Florence to promise her the very moment the band had left. He never told Kyle but Kyle knew about it from Florence.
Florence had got a job near where her parents lived and she spent the year helping Daisy with her school work as she was home taught.
Her mother stayed at the house but it was like treading on egg shells.
Florence’s hair had grown just past her shoulders.
Tuesday 29th July was when her father told her his idea.
“Your hair is long now and I know you deserve to know my idea.”
“TELL ME NOW.” She said so excitedly.
“Kyle and I have planned for you to go to V Fest and surprise Dan.”
“So I’ll be in the crowd?”
“No, you’ll sing Flaws with him, the band have already got it figured.”
“Sing?”
“Yes.”
“In front of all those people?”
“Yes.”
“I don’t think I can do it.”
“Florence you can.”
“I don’t know what would make me more nervous, seeing Dan or singing.” She laughed with tears running down her cheeks.
“You’ll rehearse with the band, Kyle will be in touch.”
“Thank you. Where am I staying?”
“At John’s, Kyle will pick you up and take you everywhere and John will take you to V Fest on the day. I’ve been told Dan has been missing you a lot so, look pretty.” Her dad smiled and she nodded.
