“Is that legal?”
“Didn’t you know he can marry people?”
“No. Oh nearly forgot, my sister couldn’t make it.”
“I’m surprised she knows who I am, I’ve only met her twice.” She smirked.
Daisy sighed so loudly everyone looked at her. “Can we just get on with this?”
“Yes, ma’am.” Will said and the ceremony proceeded.
“We are gathered together on this beautiful afternoon to share with Florence and Daniel as they exchange vows of their everlasting love. When I met Dan for the first time I thought he was a real genuine guy and Florence has always been sweet, so there is no doubt they’re the perfect match. Florence and Daniel your love for each other will grow deeper with every passing day, like it has been for the last million years and we all hope you will both be happy for a long time to come. To truly LOVE another person is to be willing to accept both their strong points, and their flaws, with equal measures of understanding and respect. I think Daniel has shown very much of that considering your past situation, and we forgive you too.” He winked at Florence as her and Dan laughed. “Now for the vows.”
Dan looked at Florence and they linked their hands together.
“Daniel, do you take Florence Eva Heathcliff to be your lawful wedded wife to have and to hold from this day on, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?” Will asked.
“I do.” Dan smiled.
“Florence, do you take Daniel Campbell Smith to be your lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day on, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?”
“I do.” Florence agreed. She finally had the life she had wanted for so long, it felt like a dream but one she never wanted to wake up from. Everything was going right for once in her life.
“Kyle, the rings.” Will said. Kyle passed them the rings. “Daniel, repeat after me, this ring, which has no beginning and no end, symbolizes the love and trust between us that will never cease. May its presence on your hand remind you of my love and vow. I place it on your finger as a visible sign of the promises which have made us husband and wife.” Dan repeated and slipped the ring onto Florence’s finger, she gasped at how lovely it was. Florence did the same and placed Dan’s ring on his wedding finger.
“From this day on, and every day after this day you will share and spend as one. By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss your bride.” Florence wrapped her arms around Dan’s neck and kissed him softly.
