“Florrie take care of him.” He said.
“I will, but you’ll be fine.”
“No, I won’t, I’m sorry.”
“No.” Florence started crying.
Nick put his hand on her cheek. “I’m sorry I can’t be at the wedding.”
“Nick.”
“You’ll be fine.” He smiled and then he tilted his head. Florence kissed his forehead.
“Goodbye Nick.” She said softly, she rested his head back on the floor.
Dan looked at her and hugged her tight.
“How did it happen?”
“Kane shot him and I knocked Kane out and that’s when you came in.”
She nodded and walked outside.
Dan looked at Nick, “Goodbye Nick.”
“I’ll be around, if you need help.”
“You sound like a superhero.”
“I am.” He laughed.
“See you around then.” Dan said and Nick went back to being dead.
The police went in and arrested Victor, Karmin and Kane.
Dan ran up to Kyle and the band and told them Nick had been shot. They just had to take it in, their lives had been turned upside down but they were alive and they had to get on with it.
“Have any of you seen Florence?” Dan asked.
“Yeah I think she was walking back to her car.”
“Thanks.” Dan said and started running after her.
Florence was shuffling back to her car.
“Florence!” Dan called after her; she stopped as he caught his breath.
