“What did John mean when he said I saved your life without even knowing?”
“You want to talk about this now.”
“Yes, I do.”
“I’ve been low, I mean I can’t always be happy with a boyfriend like Gav, I got diagnosed with depression and I wanted to…” She broke off for a moment. “I didn’t want to live anymore but then I met you.”
Dan understood now.
“You called him your boyfriend again.” He whispered in her ear whilst giving her a hug.
“I can’t be happy with Gav.”
“Then be happy with me.” He said.
“As much as that would be a dream come true, you’re right you can’t worry about me all the time, somehow Gav will find me and I’d never dream of letting you move away from London when your music career is just starting.”
Dan pulled her towards him like a knight would do and kissed her.
“Florence, I…”
“Don’t say it, or it will break my heart to leave you.”
“I can help you.”
“Dan you’ve got a life of your own you don’t need to worry about me, just forget me.”
“But I love you.” He said stubbornly. He couldn’t tell whether Florence was crying because if she was the rain was hiding it well.
“Bravo, young knight.” He heard a call from a man.
Florence turned and saw Gav, she ran in front of Dan.
“Don’t you dare lay your hands on him.” She yelled.
“How sweet, you been cheating?” He said coldly.
“He’s just a friend.”
“I saw him kiss you and tell you he loves you, I think it’s a bit more than that.”
