Chapter 181 - Red Light.

“Why? I thought we’d be like Batman and Robin, you know me all manly Batman and you all girly Robin.” He joked.

“Sure it’s not the other way round.” She replied with a teasing smile.

“It’s a two seater.” He pointed out.

“Oh come on let’s go to Tesco’s.” She said and hopped on it with Dan on the back.

The wind blew through Florence’s hair into Dan’s face; he refused to put a helmet on because it might ruin his “precious” hair, Florence didn’t mind so much.

At the red light she stopped to look at Dan who just smiled at her.

He smiled because he was happy, because he was married, because she loved him.

She winked at him and rode on.

She was free just as he had promised, she owed him her life but she missed the action, she missed Nick. Questions ran through her head and she couldn’t answer them. She was so deep in thought she went straight through a red light, which eventually followed with sirens.

“Florence, the police are after us!” Dan yelled.

“I know!” She screamed back.

“Shouldn’t we stop?”

“Yes! But I don’t think I want to.” She felt Dan tighten his arms around her.

“Then ride!” It was like a whisper to Florence but she still heard it.

She cut through a load of traffic and went down an alley way which led onto another road. She felt the adventure brewing in her.

The sirens faded and soon they were approaching Tesco’s.

They came to a stop. Florence got off the bike and took her helmet off.

“I’m so sorry!” Florence said walking back and forth in worry.

“What for?” Dan asked.

“I’m gonna get you into trouble, I’m sorry I didn’t know what came over me.”

“Florence its fine.”

“But it isn’t, is it? They might get footage and we’ll be arrested and…” Dan kissed her to shut her up. “You talk way too much!” He laughed at her.
