Be Careful Chapter 5

I think I was too excited for this date to happen. I woke up around 9 am, took a shower, brushed my teeth and quills, and wore my prettiest dress. It was a white dress with a see through waist lining. I didn't want to seem like I was trying too hard for this date, but I needed to make sure I would wow Sonic from just one glance at me. So, I wore a white headband with a single red ribbon to the side and slippers that laced all the way to my ankle. By the time I finished putting on mascara, it was 10 am, no where near 12. I sighed at how slow time was moving and decided I needed something to distract myself. I went out to my living room and turned on the TV. If me and Sonic were going to be out for a while, I should probably check on the weather forecast. It was music to my ears when I heard that it was going to be sunny all day long today. I could feel myself getting hype up and couldn't sit in one place. I should eat. I leaped off my couch and skipped to my kitchen. To be honest, I love living by myself. My parents both moved to earth because they both have big time business companies there. I didn't want to go though, I couldn't bare to leave everyone, especially Sonic. After endless amount of pleading, the two allowed me to stay and fund for my luxurious apartment. I don't mean to brag, but it was nice on its one. Two bed rooms, two bathrooms, a big living and kitchen, a balcony with a fantastic view of the new modern city. What made this place even more fabulous though, is my decoration. It screamed out Amy, and welcome, Make yourself at home!

I don't know how long I was looking at my fridge until my phone blared out a special ringtone for Cream. I closed my fridge's door and grabbed my phone off its charger.

"Hey Cream, what's up?"

Cream softly giggled. "I knew you would be awake at this time, since you know, today is a special day."

On Friday, I dialled up Cream to tell her the big news. Of course she was happy for me and why wouldn't she be? I've known Cream as long as I've known Sonic. She was two years younger than me but we still kept in touch like the best friends we are.

I sat down back onto my couch and lowered the TV's volume so I could hear Cream's quiet voice. "This is life or death Cream! This could be my chance for Sonic to fall in love with me!"

"...are you sure you wanna do this though Amy?"

"Huh? What do you mean?" I slowly sat back up from the unusual question.

"Well I'm just concerned for your well being Amy. How long has it been since you've been chasing Sonic? 10? 12? Maybe even more? I know you love him, but shouldn't he, I don't know, say something?"

I pondered on Cream's statement. She was right. From day one, Sonic knew I had an super duper hardcore crush on him, yet he never told me to back off from him. So, that just means he's giving me a chance right?

"Cream, I thank you for worrying about me, but have some faith! If everything goes well today, Sonic will madly fall in love with me, and we will live happily ever after." I looked back at the clock and saw it only moved 30 minutes from the last time I check.

"Hey Cream, I'm gonna go. I'll go earlier and get a head start so I can plan for the day. I'll talk to you after the date, okay?"

"Umm.. Oh... Alright. Just be careful okay? If things come to worse, you should prepare yourself for it."

"Byee mooom" I teased. I hit the end button and turned off my TV. I looked outside my patio door and smiled ear to ear. Today's gonna be a great day, I can feel it!
