The hallways were starting to fill up with students now. Me and Shadow continued our small talk, but I felt like it was a one sided conversation. I would ask about something, Shadow would reply, but never ask me anything. I guess that's to be expected from his personality, but wasn't it his idea for us to walk and talk? Heck, we actually stopped doing the walking part. Now we were just idling against a wall.

"Have you ever traveled to earth? I've been in the forests and its beautiful." I gushed and clasped my hands together, brining it in front of my chest. "My mom and and dad took my there once I was 10 years old."

Shadow physically froze. He stared out in front of him and looked down. "Yes...I have..." Shadow said quietly.

I tilted my head and made a confused look. Did I say something wrong? I was about to open my mouth when a pack of girls barged in between us.

"Heyyy Shadow... How are you?" Said the first girl. She had long brown feathers on her head and her wings were nicely trimmed.

A white walrus pushed the bird away with her huge hips. "Don't pay any attention to her, only pay attention to me, big shot!" She pressed her chest against Shadow's while speaking in a really low voice that could be mistaken for a guy's.

"Beat it girls, I actually have first period with hot stuff here." The third girl was gorgeous. She was a snow leopard with big blue cyan eyes. Her big fluffy tail swayed back and forth, flicking between other girls, telling them to move out of the way.

As for me? Well I was pushed aside. The walrus and the bird pushed me back, making me bump into a pack of guys who were casually talking. I apologized but couldn't take my eyes off of Shadow and the ladies.

"Dearie, I've been struggling with biology recently and I was wondering if you can tutor me." The snow leopard purred. "Maybe today you can come over to my mansion and teach me there?" She batted her huge eye lashes, trying to coax Shadow as much as possible.

Shadow glanced over, but then quickly moved his eyes somewhere else and just stayed silent.

"See? Shadow isn't into cats! He likes thick girls like me!" The walrus proudly huffed out.

"Are you thick headed? Shadow likes someone that is skinny and can keep up with his speed. Right Shadow?" The bird who I think is an hawk, squawked back.

They bickered among themselves with Shadow standing in the middle. His eyebrows were narrowed and he was tapping his finger on his biceps in annoyance. I saw him try opening his mouth to speak, but the girls voices just got louder. Man, Shadow's patience level must be really high right now if he's letting these girls do whatever they want to him.

"Yo man it's Shadow."

My ears twitched in the direction of the voice. It was coming from the trio of guys I accidentally bumped into. I leaned in closer trying to pry into their conversation.

"Duh who else can round up girls like that?" Said the third guy.

"Doesn't he have a girlfriend though? I heard she was like, pink or something." The second guy spoke with a stuffy nose.

"Oh yeah I heard shit like that coming around the school. If I was his girlfriend and I saw those packs of chick hitting on my man, I would show them who's the alpha female here."

He's right. What am I doing here just watching? I should intervene between those girls. I gulped loudly and felt myself shake in my shoes. Waah, why is this so hard? I've told girls off many of times when they crowded around Sonic. What's the difference if it's Shadow now? I slowly took a few steps forward and opened my mouth. "H-hey..." I quietly said. The girls continued to bicker and Shadow just wanted out. He tried to push them out of the way, but the walrus was locking arms with him and restraining his escape. I clenched my teeth together and tighten my fingers into two fists. Shadow belongs to me you numbskulls! I took one massive step forward, crossed my arms and leaned to the right side.

"HEY!" I wailed out.

The three girls, including Shadow stared right at me. "Who the hell are you?" Asked the snow leopard.

"Me? Well I'm Shadow's..." I felt a pit like stomach forming inside my stomach. "G-girlfriend of course. Haven't you heard the news?"

There was complete silence. Then, the girls bursted out laughing. "You? His girlfriend?" Said the leopard with doubtfulness.

"I heard those stupid rumours. Man, you totally don't look right being with a hot guy like him. I find it hard to believe that you can be associated with him." The bird laughed.

"Hey I know you! You're the annoying girl that chased Sonic everywhere in middle school! Why don't you run along and continue to do that instead of telling such pathetic lies?" The walrus spatted.

I furrowed my eyebrows and brought my lips back to expose my teeth. I wanted to smash these girls down with my hammer, but I'm not ready to be expelled yet. "Okay you three sack of bit--"

"Out of the way you morons." Shadow curtly spoke out. Shadow released the walrus's grip from his arm and pushed the other girls to the side. He directly walked straight until he was standing next to me. "Last time I heard, all three of you are failing 3 out of 4 of your classes. No amount of me tutoring you would even fit in your hormonal driven minds, let alone being spotted with you idiots outside or inside of school. It's not worthy for Amy to be compared to disrespectful imbeciles like you. Why don't you do both of us a favour and run to the stalls to raise your self esteem by applying 100 pounds of make up on your faces?" Shadow grabbed onto my hand and began to pull me away from the girls. I just hung my jaw open and couldn't believe what Shadow just did. I looked back at the girls to see that they had the same expression that I did. "By the way..." He turned around and faced the girls once more. "I'm already busy today with a date with her." He nodded his head in my direction and then proceeded to walk straight again.
