"Impolite, dumb, lucky and a total weirdo? What else are you made up of?" Though his tone sounded harsh and a bit venomous, he had a rare tiny smile running along his face.

"What are you doing here?!" I retorted back trying to change the subject.

"I could be asking you the same question, but I don't really care enough to actually ask you."

"Seriously? Are you always a jackass Shadow? Do the words charity or, caring or maybe even I don't know, heroic even exist in your vocabulary? Because to me and almost everyone else in this world thinks that they don't!" I huffed out and crossed my arms. That came out pretty aggressive, whoops.

Shadow scoffed and shook his head slowly. "I don't know why you're labelling me without even actually knowing me. It's like what you said: "I even judge Shadow when he saved me from dying in the middle of the street.""

My cheeks were burning up. So he did hear me talk to myself. Gaaah I'm so embarrassed right now! I opened my mouth to say something, but nothing came out.

"It seems that I have won this predicament."Shadow smirked.

I looked away from his eyes and stared at the ground like it was the most interesting thing in the world. I angrily held my arms to my side with my hands tightly rolled into fists.

"Are you busy right now?" Shadow asked out of blue.

"Huh?"

"I'm not going to repeat myself."

I furrowed my eyebrows and pulled my lip back into a fine line. "No... Why you ask?"

He pulled back his leather sleeve, exposing a expressive looking wristwatch. "It's settled then, come ride with me for a while."

What. I blankly stared back at Shadow who seemed unfazed at himself. "You're kidding me, you aren't really serious?"

Shadow cocked an eyebrow. "What? Do you not want a free meal?"

Instantly, I felt my stomach rumble. Why do I keep forgetting to eat!? I lowered my head as my ears folded downwards. I quickly lifted my head revealing a scrunched up, embarrassed face.

"F-fine. Only if you're actually paying for me." I quietly replied.

He scoffed once more and wiggled his index finger, indicating me to follow him to his vehicle. As ordered to, I trailed just behind him, no way do I want to be next to him.

"So not only are you crazy, but you're also a gold digger. Interesting."

The tip of my ears grew hot along with my cheeks.

"NO I'M NOT!" I blurted out in a squeaky voice.

And then, for the first time in my life, I heard Shadow's laugh. Well, a chuckle, but that still means something. It was low but rich, smooth yet still maintain Shadow's edgy personality. I don't know what about his chuckle being so unique and interesting, but my ears loved it.

Shadow parked his vehicle a block away from Sonic's house. My heart sunk when I recalled the incident that happened an hour or so. Wait, why is Shadow actually so close to Sonic's house? Does he live in the neighbourhood? I tilted my head imagining Shadow living in a big glamorous house on the outside, but on the inside, it's pitch black to match his personality.

"Hey Shadow, do you live around this area?"

Shadow didn't bother to turn around and reply to me. Typical. "No, why do you ask?"

"Then why are you out here? I'm being serious this time."

"None of your business." Though Shadow wasn't facing me, I could tell in the tone of his voice that he was smirking.

When we finally reach his vehicle, it was a black motorcycle. I'm not good with my vehicles, but it seem new, like, brand new. Everything was practically glimmering in the sunlight; the rims, the seat, the exterior and even his license plate. I gulped and felt too intimidated to get on something so new. As for Shadow, he opened the seat and pulled out another helmet and a jacket and handed them over to me. How can something so small fit those things!? I cautiously grab the items and felt conscious on how I would look on that bike with the outfit I'm wearing.

"Have you even been on a motorcycle before?" Asked Shadow as he casually swung his leg over the seat onto the other side and proceeded to lean with it.

"U-uh.. No I haven't, hey why don't we just take my car? It would be more roomy and-"

"Scaredy cat. Now that's new."

I felt a cheek muscle twitch. "Can you stop labelling me? Please and thank you." I said through my teeth.

"Stop being so many things then. Get on." He patted the back seat and turned on the ignition.

I put on the tight helmet and jacket, I tried to copy what Shadow did with swinging his legs over but I think I was too short. I simply had to scoot my butt onto the seat.

"Um, where do I hold? To like, keep my balance and stuff."

"Wrap your arms around my waist."

I sat there in silence. THERE IS NO WAY I'M GOING TO WRAP MY HANDS AROUND HIS DISGUSTING WAIST.

"You're just holding yourself onto me, there isn't any thing intimate with that you know." He said in a annoyed tone.

"There is a lot of things intimate with that! I have to touch you which is super gross and-"

Without any warning, Shadow swept the kick stand up and accelerated, causing me to involuntary scream in fright and wrap my arms around his waist for dear life.
